Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Monday told an Australian woman complaining about "too many American flags" to go back to her country in response to a video of her posted to social media.

TikTok user Mia Chloe, who goes by the username @meanderwithmia, often posts about "Traveling the world on a budget & no brain cells," according to her account page. In a video posted several days ago, she called out the abundance of American flags she observed in her travels to the United States.

"I'm just going to say it. There are too many American flags. They're on houses. They're on cars. Some are on couch cushions," she said. "You're the only country that I know that does this."

Abbott, responding to the video of the rant on Twitter, wrote "Go back to Australia," along with eight American flag emojis. Chloe said she had only ever seen an Australian flag on the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge.

"Could not tell you what it looks like," she said. "I know it's blue and it's got some stars on it but I think I could draw the American flag from memory."

"I think I could make a bloody sculpture out of it," she added. "That's how many times I've seen it. It's enough. Let's pull back on it, OK. Let's stay humble."

In other videos, she is heard complaining about American supermarkets, which she called "a trap." She noted she went inside a Walmart and wound up shopping for four hours but only purchased three items.

In another, she apologized to anyone who lives in the Midwest, calling Kansas "unlivable" because of the weather.

"I'm currently in Kansas," she posted in an Aug. 4 video. "Even though it's blue skies right now. Give it an hour and it's going to be thunder storming, there's going to be lighting. You're going to get stuck in a f****** hail shower."

She's not just Australian, she's from Sydney. She's from the California of Australia.

She's also a fucking moron who doesn't pay attention, because the Australian flag is on (or in front of) almost all government buildings, schools, and quite a lot of private businesses as well.

Americans do fly the flag more than Australians, but not nearly as much as the Vietnamese, and in Thailand they play the national anthem every night at 6pm and everyone stops trading for however long it lasts.

Getting lost in a supermarket is not something that I would admit to, however.

Didn't aussies enact strict gun laws because of Christchurch? A shooting a country over?

A nation of cucks.
The first enactment of stricter gun laws I though was after the Port Author Massacre, skimming the wiki I don't see them having added anything in response after Christchurch. They are cucks though. They still sport a decent but far too low 14 guns per 100 people.

It was New Zealand who had considered restricting gun laws post Port Author Massacre, the Kiwi's are uber cucks:

"New Zealand had previously considered tighter weapons restrictions in 1996, after a mass shooting in neighboring Australia that left 35 people dead pushed the government in Canberra to ban semi-automatic rifles. The idea was kicked into the long grass after pressure from powerful gun lobbies and reluctance among politicians."

Europeans* when American flag: ummmmm yikes sweatie nationalism isn't a good look

Europeans when soccer: GOD SAVE THE QUEEN MATE I'LL FOOKIN KILL ANYONE WHO SAYS OTHERWISE WE'RE THE BEST COUNTRY IN THE FOOKIN WORLD

*Australians count as Europeans

I would've thought that colonies that were founded as places to house a bunch of criminals would be tough, but I guess decades of new stock have diluted that spirit.

I would just like to point out to this lady that there are certain suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria where every second house has an Australian flag draped over something but I guess that trip requires more than the available brain cells advertised.

Having your organisation or nations flag everywhere is unironically a nice thing and shows a sense of unity and pride for once. So long as, you know… 022ACB4D-4969-4867-A9C8-79188391E81B.jpeg

The number of hung flags in the USA is completely absurd, so I have to agree with the woman.

Frankly, it is a bit of a joke that makes them a laughing stock joke globally. Homes in other countries usually represent (not always) a person's individual tastes; and here, so many are nothing more than 2000 square foot shrines to their political beliefs and patriotism rather than actual tastes and comfort.

This thing with flags and slogans on your door and signs posted in your yard really is pretty sad to see, the interior of the homes are usually as sad, too.

Tbf Americans are weird over their flag

Like they'll lose their shit if someone breaks whatever they think the flag code is (nobody is autistic enough to read that) but then never whisper against blast mining the mountains or a new six lane highway through ancient woodland

Patriotism is the original punk, hollowed out and marketed as an aesthetic years before they were selling 70 dollar 'fuck capitalism' jackets

Sorry too busy to care about your rootless faggotry. Hanging an even bigger flag off the pole in my yard I only put in to fly the Stars and Stripes and another bigger flag to fly off my stoop roof and another bigger flag to fly off my porch

People hate it because they're lonely and seething on the edge of envy and resentment that Americans proudly display their sense of national community. Americans have something they don't and they're very sullen defensive about their lack

I don't think America actually has more flags than European countries. Europeans are really crazy about flying their flags. It's not always their country's flag though. Often times they'll fly some other kind of flag, for example you'll see Scottish flags all over Scotland.
