If any call out LTT's relationships with tech companies, then they're all hypocrites, probably even GN who is the gold standard today. Techtubers have become a really scummy business based on purposeful deception.
Yes, even GN is not clean, they get sponsored by case manufacturers and cooling paste makers, however (as far as i know) they only take sponsorship of stuff they tested before and genuinely recommend. It's understandable why they take it, after all it's not a perfect world and it costs money to test shit, but nevertheless it's still clearly a conflict of interest. Despite that Steve and his team are paragons of integrity compared to others, but that's just shows you how rotten techtuber community is. Or rather, whole internet, because other sites aren't better. You can't even trust user reviews nowadays, with all these bots and stealth marketing around.

I never said I thought it was right. My point is that any social media account is going to get that shit, constantly, on any platform. I guarantee you there's degenerates sending dick pics to the Wendys twitter account asking if she wants this meat between her buns. Its the internet, its how it works. And if you suffer actual harm from that, you don't have the skin and attitude to run these in the first place.

There's a massive different between platforms like Twitter where such content would be fractions of a percent of total engagement and a platform like OnlyFans where it's literally intended. I'm pretty sure the majority that shit would be caught by an algorithm on Twitter and hidden behind sensitive content warnings regardless.

It's not really comparable. Tire manufactures sponsor races but as far as race driver is concerned he's there to win, not to make tires look good. Meanwhile when you get sponsored by manufacturers of things you actually test then it's in your interest to say good things about them and this is where problem arises.

The driver is sponsered because he gets the result they want to make the tires look good. They win. Sponserships have not changed, if you do not get the result they expect they ditch you. It’s in the racing teams interest to do whatever is needed to win. There’s a reason checks for cheating are rigorous.
