Wu again displays non-existent reading comprehension and/or failing completely to read whatever source she is linking to

Wasn't there a Star Trek with a woman captain?
Yes, and it was shit. Not because of the woman captain but because it was a poorly written mess of a show with bad characters.

But seriously, Wu, read a goddamn article for once before you sperg and start mashing away at the pseudo-cooch at the thought of having a new escapist character. My nephew has a better attention span than you and he's six.

Yep, and I don't doubt the "2 weeks" she's spouting now will eventually turn into October and further and further due to technical issues. Probably accompanied by ranting about Steam's byzantine command line tools.
If she goes much longer she can borrow a trick from John Flynt in his comic days and just start reposing last year's deadline notices!
Wu is always fond of bitterly shitting on more popular indie games that blow R60 out of the water.

made it from a teaser programmed by four people all the way to it's release. And Wu has the audacity to complain about it in a tone as if she could do a better job.

For some reason she hates procedural generation

You just have to look at Janeway as the series' villain and it all makes sense!

Even the characters (outside Neelix) could have been interesting with good writing. Instead they went the easiest path possible with the series and ended up with the shit they called that series.

Voyager got some points at the time for having a female lead, but in 2016 no one gives a shit unless the show is entertaining. But that won't stop Brianna from being a fucktard about it.

Didn't we have this discussion a few pages back?

Any episode with Picardo in tends to be gold tier, while Neelix episodes are kind of cringey.

I'm rewatching it now it's been dumped on Netflix and its ok. Entertaining enough but yeah. Janeway's character is a goddamn monster at times for her arbitrary decisions.

I may be the only person in the world who owns this book. It's 200 pages of cheap print-on-demand crap at an outrageous price, so I guess I'll share the love with all ya'll. Forgive the potato quality.

First we have to have Wu's fictional biography of course:

"Working in games is the advanced mode of being a woman in tech." How the hell would you know? You sit around your house all day and maybe poke final cut pro occasionally.

Yeah, Wu. People get defensive very quickly with you because you're abrasive as fuck. Who would want to talk to you for more than five minutes?

Wu is so full of anecdotes about all her "friends", but if you look at her twitter she basically doesn't have anyone she regularly talks to, perhaps that one dude she does a podcast with who has been patting her ass for about a decade.

"a lot of resumes." HAHAHA. HAHAHA.

It must be tough being Wu. Everyone mansplains to her.

"You have to have girlfriends" - John Flynt, 1997.
"There will be drama" - Brianna Wu, 2016.

The audience is thirsty for games only you can make! Like this one I made that is a terrible rip off of other games that I like.

It's not as much fun as the other book, because Wu finally figured out that these things aren't supposed to be hagiography. It still shows Wu way out of her depth though, giving advice to other people who actually have careers.

Couldn't help but chuckle at the man who lives with the shorter asian man in a house full of videogames, nerf toys and poweraid calling anywhere else (IGN) a "Frat House"

"...from sexualized ads for Konami titles, to posters in Nintendo Power encouraging boys to be Captain Commando..."

uh....wut? The only sexualized ad I can think of from the early NES era was the Double dragon 2: the Revenge magazine insert, and there was never a poster of Captain Commando in Nintendo Power, nor one "encouraging boys to be" as such. Captain Commando was an early Capcom mascot who wasn't actually IN any games, just in the back of the paper manuals, so he didn't get a poster in the early NES days of Nintendo Power.....and when the Captain Commando arcade beat-em-up was ported to SNES.....there was nothing in the magazine "encouraging" boys to do anything related.

I mean, I guess I shouldn't be shocked at this point....but she's just lying.

Like, just makin' shit up.

EDIT:

"But the money we saved gave us the startup funds we needed to create something amazing: Giant Spacekat, my development studio, creators of Revolution 60 and Cupcake Crisis."

....I like how Wu speaks as though Cuckcake Crisis is a done deal, rather than a never-will-be.

Who is Johnny to lecture anyone on life?

His whole life he's been carried by someone else and everything he's set his hand to has ended up a big fat failure.

He's basically what Chris-chan would be if he found someone dumb enough to marry him
But Chris has a degree. He's literally achieved more than Wu.
