Personally, I'll need some more proof before believing the bifurcation hypothesis with regards to Rekieta and Godwinson.
Those two
are both cows, they
have both come into their cowdom in earnest within the last year or so, and they
have both recently been in close proximity to Ralph (albeit digitally) - however, I just can't bring myself to buy into the idea that either of them are on the same level of content (or
potential for content) as Chris, Ralph, or Fuentes.
Additionally, I feel like the demon developing a hitherto unheard of ability to switch hosts
over an Internet connection (instead of via in-person contact) would have some type of easily-identifiable
cause, like how the proposed bifurcation ability was derived from the physical properties of the Gunt. Being able to transfer itself digitally would be
extremely overpowered, and I doubt it would develop this ability out-of-the-blue without leaving behind some form of clue(s) as to how it did it. And yes, part of why I came to this conclusion is because the demon learning how to disseminate itself across
the Internet itself is, frankly, too horrifying to consider without some seriously damning evidence, at least for me.
Also, it conflicts with the parking lot hypothesis, which I'm quite attached to at the moment, lol.
However, the bifurcation hypothesis in general is an interesting one, and I don't want to discount the idea of it completely, especially given the fascinating notion that a demon could derive "themed" abilities from its hosts. What could it get from Fuentes? A propensity towards assembling groups of other lolcows around its chosen host? Or maybe something feline-related? Who knows - keep in mind this
is dependent on the bifurcation hypothesis being true, which I'd still argue isn't as set-in-stone as the other working theories.
I've been looking through the Goetia, the Lemegeton ( Lesser Key of Solomon) and the Pseudomonarchia Daemonium to try and figure what we are dealing with, and there are three that immediately spring to mind, Agares, a demon that finds pleasure in immorality and attracts runaways, Ashtaroth, a particularly nasty one mentioned in the Clavicae, that seduces by means of vanity and laziness, and Andras, an even nastier and more dangerous one that sows discord among people.
It's been a while since I read this stuff and I've forgotten a lot of it, but it's interesting to see demons from actual Grimoires that match the traits that Sonichu displays.
I'm also gonna stop there for today, because this is starting to give me the legitimate creeps.
We're actually breaking out the grimoires for this shit, love it. It would be the absolute peak of a-logging if even the demon that possessed Ralph somehow ended up getting doxed
