Disaster Emerging Eris Variant sparks concerns: Is a fresh COVID crisis unfolding? - WHO cautions against relaxing measures

ALBAWABA - The global fight against COVID-19 has taken a new twist with the emergence of the Eris variant, a subtype of Omicron, leading to a surge in infection numbers.

Experts are issuing warnings about an unclassified variant tentatively labeled 'BA.6', which has caused alarm due to its limited appearances in Denmark and Israel. The mutation patterns of this unidentified variant raise apprehensions about the potential for a broader impact.
While the era of widespread lockdowns and overwhelmed medical facilities may appear to be fading, the world now confronts a renewed challenge from the coronavirus.

ERIS REEMERGES! WHO CAUTIONS AGAINST RELAXING MEASURES
Resurgences in COVID-19 cases are being observed in countries like the USA and UK. The swift escalation is linked to the Eris variant, a variation of Omicron. Current data indicates that around one out of every ten COVID cases can be attributed to Eris.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has sounded the alarm over the EG.5 variant, referred to as 'Eris', being identified in 51 countries. They strongly advocate maintaining COVID precautions and avoiding complacency.
Upcoming Release of New Vaccine, but Concerns Loom: Public Hesitation Expected

According to data provided by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), hospitalizations have risen by over 40% since June. Nonetheless, this figure remains below 90% of the peak levels witnessed during the Omicron outbreak of January 2022.
Worries stemming from the Eris variant have dominated recent headlines in Western media. Dr. Trisha Greenhalgh from the University of Oxford shared a thought-provoking statement on Twitter:

With a 12% surge in hospitalizations, the USA is experiencing renewed appeals for maintaining mask usage.
Dr. Céline Gounder, a former member of President Biden's Coronavirus Advisory Board, commented, "Reinstating mask-wearing in crowded settings could be advisable."

NEW THREAT LOOMING: DETECTED IN TWO COUNTRIES
Recent reports from UK media sources underscore concerns about an unnamed variant provisionally termed 'BA.6'. Despite its limited presence in Denmark and Israel, experts are questioning whether its alarming mutation trends could potentially trigger a more widespread outbreak.

?????????????????????????????????????????

Just anecdotally, an older member of my family went on a trip with a bunch of old foogies (60+), of the roughly 20, 3 got COVID over a 14 day period.

None of them had had COVID before.

None of them were close to needing hospitalization.

All were well enough within 1 day to travel, 2 did travel home since they were feeling under the weather, but otherwise were fine.

1 of them felt well enough 1 day later to keep on trucking as a long-haul driver for the group. There were no issues with this decision.

It's actually just a cold at this point. :story:

Not sure if it's more depressing that these nut-slurping presstitutes think they can just ministry-of-truth things that never happened into being True Facts, or that the majority of the NPCs that infest the western world will actually nod along with it and pretend that hospitals really were overwhelmed by covid.

They strongly advocate maintaining COVID precautions and avoiding complacency.
Strongly advocate deez nuts. Go ask whatever pedowood writer is making this shit to come up with something else. Fuck you and fuck you forever.

Which is what it was always going to become.
Which is also a dead giveaway this was made in a chink lab and not from nature like every other plague that took decades to find cures. That's sadly the only silver lining I can see.

Ahem. Not gonna play along this time, there is also the fact that during Wu-Flu 1, the borders were not closed. People got sick (physically and mentally) from playing ball last time with consequences we are feeling to this day.

So, I recommend you to take a long walk off a short pier.

Good luck, even the CCP had to back off this bullshit because even their citizens, who have a lot more than anybody in the West to lose for protesting, were sick and tired of this garbage. The WHO should be spending their time how to figure out how to deal with it a different way, they already blew their load on a very survivable strain of COVID and all their political capital was spent on forcing vaccinations.
If they think they'll be able to push this after the first summer where everybody was allowed to go back out and live a normal life, after businesses are swiftly backing out from WFH, and after all their insistence on masking and vaccines was shown to be largely bunk, they've got another think coming. The WHO shot itself in the foot here, and if there is an actually alarming pandemic and nobody listens to their shit, that's going to be on them for crying wolf.

Don't worry folks, even if you think its stupid and should be ignored, your benevolent overlords will ensure that appropriate tax dollars are committed to researching this new and grave danger, and ensuring compliance in all matters that are required. Of course, this spending is purely a benevolent action of the state to help you all out, and ensure that your not financially at risk from these activities.

Isn't the system just great?
