What I found similar was that this was a degenerate community otherwise underground, but for some reason, some of their videos leaked to the surface where regular people found them by accident.
Just like cappers, it took years before I saw serious discussion surrounding the oddly fixated hate on baby monkeys. Years. No videos on the subject, no comments on the torture videos aside from the aforementioned... praise. It was strangely quiet.

I agree. There are quite a few similarities, not the least of which being the attitude both groups seem to have about their degeneracy. Cappers would often post about their pedo shit with the same sense of smug arrogance that the monkeyfuckers do; they would proclaim that no, they're not just doing these things to fulfill a sick paraphilia, they're actually doing an objective moral good for the world and everyone else is too soft to realize it! Think about the way pitycucks talk about "pest control" and how macaques are actually super serious deadly pests in this third-world shithole they don't live in and have never been to so they're helping the citizens by paying random rice farmers to cut them open and if you find it disgusting you're just a snowflake Karen who doesn't understand the real world/farm life! Cappers had a similar argument, though theirs was based in the idea that the people they victimized were "camwhores" who should've known better and deserve their punishment for encouraging degeneracy (even though 90% of capping victims were children, quite young ones, and jacking off to CSAM is several tiers more disgusting and degenerate than jacking off to a legal, consenting adult woman but I digress) My point is that both of these groups are extremely sick and fucked up, obviously so, yet have somehow managed to delude themselves into thinking they're actually some morally righteous force of good. Or, at least that's what they claim online. Whether or not they actually believe it is up to your interpretation.
The openness of their behavior also lines up. Capping was not a thing practiced in password-protected deep web chatrooms, it was done on clearnet imageboards like 4chan using streaming sites that were clearly accessible enough for children to access on their own. Yet strangely, even after the Amanda Todd case

@easy the narrative generally remained that the fault lied primarily on Amanda's peers for the sharing of her images (it's true that this happened but the images were only acquired and spread around BECAUSE of the capping people.) With the monkeyfuckers, they've been sharing these videos for years on sites like YouTube and Facebook, openly commenting using profiles with their legal names and pictures of their faces. Some of these videos would get hundreds of thousands, hell
millions of views, yet only now are we really starting to see something done about these fucking monsters and it's mostly because of one thread on a site about laughing at fat retards that make fools out of themselves?
Why?
One can only hope the monkey torture community goes the same route as the cappers; basically disintegrating to the point where they don't even really exist in a wider capacity anymore. Though, I want these sick pieces of shit to fall in a much more loud, thorough way that ends up exposing them so they can't just scurry back into the darkness and continue life unidentified and unpunished by the law.
