That’s exactly it. They did this last time. Fucked him over and by the time it was in the Courts to late to do anything about. Then they came out and admitted that how they fucked him was illegal but it was too late to do anything and the remedy would cause too many problems.
And what remdy can they get from Georgia? None of them can get their mugs unshot.

I'm not surprised at all about the mugshot backfiring, the new worldwide tactic to "defend democracy™" is too either convict or prosecute enough your political opponent that you can justify banning or suspending their campaign.
It's what happened here in Brazil, it's what's going to happen in Argentina with Millei, it's what is going to happen in Germany.

Well, legally they can't. Even under this stupid 14th Amendment 'sedition' bullshit can't lock you off. Eugene V. Deb's socialist ass was convicted or 10 counts of sedition and sitting in a prison cell when he ran in 1920 and they couldn't keep his ass off the ballot. (He got almost a million votes too, crazy times.) The states cannot add qualifications beyond what the Constitution has set, this is settled law.
Not that such a thing like law and Constitutionality would stop some Obama appointed 'judge' from ruling its okay because Orange Man Bad.
Its a very dangerous game to play, and the Democrats/Uniparty are being absolutely suicidal and recklessly arrogant with their systemic rigging. They have absolute confidence in their own competence and technocratic prowess even as competence erodes from under them visibly, daily, in a hundred obvious ways. They believe that they can just remove every peaceful political solution to the common person's concerns and the problem will just go away, as if by magic. Ignoring the gauges and welding the relief valves shut does not solve the problem, and it doesn't help that they keep turning up the heat.
I, personally, am terrified.

I mean they can and nothing will happen. They’ve been shown this time and again. 99% of people don’t actually do anything to fight back. And the 1% is easy to deal with.
I recently went to a comedy gig and the comdian regailed us with a story about the time he was at an awards show and went off on the hosts - GB news - due to being drunk. He they went on to say how 98% of people were on his side. And came up later and congradulated him. Some time later he gets invited on GB News to talk about other stuff but declined.
I say this to say most people, even when they outnumber the powerful or get their shot to face them are absolute cowards.
And the Ruling Class know this.

Because the political elites have yes men who tell them exactly what they want to hear. And cast aside or punish those that go against their thinking. The elites think they're the smartest people ever and they can never be wrong. Dunning-Kurger effect, a huge ego, and declining mental capabilities due to age.

The problem isn't 1% fighting back, it's 10-30%, that's the point where revolutions are made. The challenge is in first reaching that point, but it will happen eventually; we easily have the groundwork for it, just missing the catalyst where a sufficient number of people feel they have nothing left to lose.

It's also being reported that Trump's motorcade drove through a black neighborhood and the residents showed their support for him. Contrast that to how Maui residents "welcomed" Biden and hopefully these reactions translate to votes.

Smarter, more rational, less ideologically possessed elites have avoided that kind of situation, yes - in the past. They were more competent at that point, more subtle, and with more reliable means of control. However, in the modern era their own insular ideology has destroyed their ability to meaningfully use power in many ways, and eventually there is going to a point where their capacity for control will be overwhelmed by opposition chaos.
Every day gets closer to that breaking point where there is a runaway reaction.

I'm certain he practiced beforehand, they were retarded enough to announce it way back.
I'm certain that he's got a great team behind him, they know they will hang along with him if they don't get him into the white house next year, they got nothing to lose anymore.
Here in Brazil they are going after Bolsonaro's family, all his son's, his wife, I'm sure they gonna go fuck up his 10 year old daughter somehow, all his friends and extended family, all his former staff and ministers, people who got elected on his platform, etc.
Expect the same against Trump.

First rule with dealing with narcissists: do not give them any attention. You would end up giving them power over you.
At what cost? Creating a political divide through system distrust that would linger for years to come? All of this boils down to free publicity and justification of Trump's suspicions that the system is working against him and his base. If Trump ends up winning 2024 in spite of all this, there will be a reckoning this country has not seen in a long while.
Literally the only winning move the Democrats had to do was to find a competent, down to Earth candidate against Trump and let the process do its thing with minimal interference.
