Discussion/Show Recommendations for Non-Pozzed Children's Shows: A Guide for Kiwi Parents

The Amazing World of Gumball is fine.
The later seasons are pretty pozzed (fag shit in the "What is love" song/episode, constant gay incest "jokes", a literal coomer weeb fanfic epiaode, etc) and probably more that I've forgotten.
If you're teaching your young kids the Bible, I'd recommend the anime version of Superbook. You can find the entire series her
I've got fond memories of this one. The show was pretty cute. It's the first thing I ever won something at (the channel running it had some contest, I can't recall what you had to do). I won an oversized (adult) shirt of the characters that my dad ended up wearing around the house and an illustrated Bible for kids that I've still got around somewhere.

I've updated the OP with some suggestions based on the thread so far! I also included a list of shows aimed at children with homosexual relationships and other pozzed matters. Feel free to add to the discussion for what to avoid as well that way we can know what to keep an eye on. I did flag things like witchcraft in the red flags which may not be something everyone cares about but I just tried to think of anything that may want a parent to keep their child away from a show

The Legend of Korra
-Gay
Your list is good, but only listing depravity fails to capture how bad some of these shows are for kids.

Legend of korra could have no propaganda in it and it would still be a redlight because its also unironically a fucking awful rolemodel for kids.

Korra is entitled, narcissistic, loud, annoying, disrespectful to her elders, cheats on everyone she dates, has no respect for any authority good or bad, and the show constantly portrays her as being in the right and all her problems are presented as being there only because the world fails to recognize how awesome she already is. She gets everything handed to her and still complains nonstop.

Kids should be kept as far away from it as possible, I can't imagine a way to fuck up a kid harder than telling them korra is a role model.

Replace Batman The Animated Series with general DCAU since Superman, Batman Beyond, Static Shock, Justice league and Unlimited are all incredible. Only warning should be Static Shock as it is very hood in its subject matter, going over gangs, school shootings, racism and other topics.

The list is also missing some good non-DCAU capes like Batman Brave & The Bold, Green Lantern The Animated Series, DC Super Hero Girls, Justice League Action and The Batman.

As for non-cape shows, Chowder and FlapJack are good, so is Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. Would also like to hear your opinion on Canadian cartoons like Total Drama, 6Teen and Stoked. I wouldn't consider them pozzed, but they feel like they border with how risky the jokes get.

I planned on expanding on why each show made each list it just got late so I put placeholders for me to go back and edit!

Yeah Korra is several layers of awful which is so sad compared to how good Avatar was with its characters

I meant to add Fosters to the yellow light list, I really don’t think there’s much inappropriate in it but it definitely seems aimed towards older kids. I remember enjoying it a lot tho!

I’ll make some updates tomorrow when I get a chance, I feel like chowder and flapjack would definitely fit the yellow light list but they do contain a lot of disturbing visuals more flapjack in that regard. I remember disliking it for how gross out the close ups were

My sister and I loved watching Total Drama Island but it’s been so long since I’ve seen it I don’t rightfully remember how far some of the jokes go. I did like the original 6teen but I’m pretty sure it got rebooted at some point and made political/gay

All I remember about any reboot was that retarded voting special they made… to inform Canadians about voting in an American election.

And to bash trump, of course.

There was no reboot, just some one-off episode about Trump that I don't think is included in any season, so easy to avoid.

Total Drama got a recent reboot which goes hard on gays, just to make @Optantrix aware.

Total Drama had a lot of gay jokes, such as Owen being into Justin (he ain't gay), Noah and Cody cuddling, etc.. Chris himself can also be off color making some sexual remarks to his teenage cast, mainly Lindsay, but also Gwen when Heather ripped her pants. There is also heavy nudity between Owen and the scene where Heather gets her top removed.

6Teen had the weird cougar with a kid that would hit on the teenagers, but otherwise was mostly tame on fetish stuff with occasional tame gay jokes.

Stoked never really seemed to lean into the gay jokes. It is similar to 6Teen, but seems more tame if you want a recommendation.

Inexplicably, Disney somehow made one of the best family shows I’ve seen in years, then proceeded to… cancel it and remove it from their streaming service, making the only way to see it on torrent.

The Mysterious Benedict Society is a great series to watch with older kids/tweens, with legitimately worthwhile messages involving not trusting the media. The only bit of LGBT bullshit is implied between two older female characters, yet absolutely never shown.

That’s probably because it’s adapted from a 50-year-old book

For very young kids, I would actually recommend Kipper the Dog. My niece watched this a lot when she was little and she loved it. It's actually a great show to put on around bedtime, as it's overall a very calming and slow-paced show.

I recommend these for ages 2 - 7.

Curious George
Both the show and the movies.

Sarah and Duck
It’s a British cartoon but there is nothing bad in it. It’s pacing is not the usual frantic jump cuts every 15 seconds like kids shows now a days. It is very calming without being boring.

Sesame Street
Start as far back as you can (70’s/80’s) and stop arround 2010

These are all edutainment shows.

I forgot to add Mysterious Cities of Gold to the list. I heard they made a reboot and I don't know how pozzed that is, but the original series is just fine. I would also recommend Ulysses 31 (which you can find restored on Youtube.) Both have great art (Ulysses 31 looks like a Saturday morning cartoon animated by Moebius) and both feature strong fatherly role models. Just in case you're getting tired of girlbosses and strong independent princesses.

The 1994 animated version of The Tick was good at being kid-friendly without losing the humor it had in the comic. It probably wouldn't be interesting for really little kids, though.

Rocky and Bullwinkle (1959) is also a potential but again, for older kids, maybe 8? In my experience it's like that cilantro-tasting gene; your kid born is either predisposed to loving or hating Rocky and Bullwinkle. Some of the characters' voices are shrill and it will encourage making puns. Ignore the decades-later movies.

That's the one where Kristen Schaal asked on Twitter if anyone could get her a copy, right? Because she's in it but never got a way to watch it once they took it off streaming.

Sarah and Duck
I'd second Sarah and Duck. If you're going for 2-year-olds, then the only other show besides it and Bluey I know of that hasn't been mentioned is In the Night Garden, which is a good pre-naptime show with a peaceful surrealism to it. A lot of the other shows are good, but all for older kids, in some cases much older.

But getting classics is a safe bet, because they're classics for a reason. Every kid loves a muppet.

I found at least the first season of Hilda to be very cute and child friendly. Nothing pozzed loaded at all in it. I haven't watched the second, so no strong feelings there. Should be good for around 5+.

Mr Benn was a childhood favorite of mine

Clangers as well

Something charming about old kids shows that have that homemade feeling to them. Overall best to focus on educational shows and shows that aren't made to sell toys.

Sesame Street and Mister Rogers' Neighborhood seem to be gold standards for the educational ones, however always check them out first to make sure the lessons line up with what you want your kid to learn,

I will personally recommend against it because that shit gave me constant nightmares when I was little and I hate it to this day

It’s hardly “peaceful surrealism”. It’s more like “Teletubbies creepiness”, where everyone is braindead and smiling constantly- including the adults, who are usually encouraging that behavior- while a bunch of weird stuff happens all at once and nothing feels “normal”.

At the very least, keep it away from any under-4s. I know that’s its target demographic but I do not care. That show is very unnerving, especially when surrounded by otherwise-normal programming.
