I dunno. I always thought the senile act from Barb was that - an act to grift more money off weens.

To clarify this point, some of us pointed out that she was absolutely faking elements of her earlier dementia / senility symptoms. There was one video she made to beg for money where, afterwards, cwc kept the camera rolling and she immediately snapped out of the retard routine when she thought Chris was done filming.

That being said, she totally could've become much more feeble minded since then and genuinely lost whatever faculties she used to have.

Yeah people are either forgetting or deliberately ignoring that Barb had been coercing and guilting Chris into sleeping in the same bed as her and outright cuddling with her in the years immediately after Bob's death, and that Chris had expressed his discomfort with this. I can't imagine that this didn't mess with his already messed up sense of boundaries. I'm also not that convinced of Barb's alleged senility and "being completely unaware," considering her past schemes and the fact that she's apparently been living on her own for the past two years. If she legitimately is out of her mind, then what happened is terrible, but otherwise this was her getting bit by the beast that she created. Furthermore, I'm not totally convinced that these weren't consensual interactions.

It's kind of like old spinsters who are so miserable to be around that no one can stand them but their cats. They end up dying alone and those same cats end up eating their faces.

Dont get me wrong, I'm not remotely justifying what Chris did nor am I blaming the victim.

But it's fair to keep in mind that Barb is a total shithead herself.

Incest bans have always been really loopy about consent. If it was consensual, you run into Lawrence v Texas territory of "sex is legal as long as it's consensual", though IIRC consensual incest bans are held up on the grounds of "possible child mutations and defects" even if non-penetrative/contraceptive methods are used.
In the case incest wasn't consensual, then it's just straight up rape and I do believe non-consensual incest is actually treated as rape.
In the case this does somehow make consensual incest legal in the states that do criminalize such sex (i.e. being cited by the Supreme Court in some potential future case), then I'll be laughing all day.
