Megathread Tranny Sideshows on Social Media - Any small-time spectacle on Reddit, Tumblr, Twitter, Dating Sites, and other social media.

"My friend's roommate gave me a shot of T at a Barbie party, now I'm questioning everything" or "stupid kid learns how drug addiction happens".

Here's the Reddit thread Eliza is recapping. And an archive to be sure.

out of all the characters in Bloodborne they only recognise 2 as normal (i.e. 'cis' but even then they still have to be Allies™). I know it's just headcanon nonsense, but this compulsion to queer every single character in the media you enjoy is so fucking weird and childish.
It's better than them trying to make Hank from Detroit Become Human into a fucking Pooner.
I'm still baffled by that sorry.
I can't think of a guy from that game that is less like a Pooner than Hank.
I can't think of anyone from that game that's like a Pooner actually.
Pooners are fucking ridiculous.

These guys get outed every fucking day. This old sack of shit has that innsmouth look.

Oh Jesus he does have the Innsmouth Look what the fuck :stress:

Nothing will ever beat the kid in the "be gay do crime" shirt having a panic attack over being arrested
View attachment 5289616
That was the calmest arrest I've ever seen. Granted, she was petrified with panic, but still. Poor little Aiden just realized that LARPing as a revolutionary isn't like her YA books. She'll never be Katniss Everdeen. Real life social revolutions involve lots of losing until you win, or lots of losing until you are wiped out.

That's the whole point she's making: it's transphobic or something to look at a property and always pick the clean-shaven, young, skinny twink for your ~transman headcanon~ (which is exactly the same way the fanfic writers of old used to pick the uke vs the seme, but let's not examine that...).

She says that if you're writing D:BH yaoi and you feel like someone needs to be a pooner, you need to accept that the gruff, grizzled, competent old dude is just as likely to be an FtM; nobody can tell.

(And also she has an aside that the whole concept of an android pooner, built by humans with swappable parts, is weird; dude could just go get a robot boner and install it in an afternoon and not have any crippling dysphoria, not like an ex-lady Hank presumably would have had decades ago.)

It's an interesting essay, and it almost, but not quite, touches on some truths.

Surprisingly good advice!

If you hate yourself and need a little extra push, there's a whole subgenre of thinkpieces on A&N in which a successful professional woman (it's always a woman) aged 30 to 45, usually with a husband and kids, finally gets diagnosed with autism and cooms a grand revelatory orgasm. Terrible consequences of undiagnosed autism are *~*~subtly implied~*~* but never listed, but now that she's been *~*~diagnosed~*~*, everything falls into place and... there's no consequences to a diagnosis and no action plan either, she already has a good life and isn't going to change a thing. These women are just attention whores advertising the fact they got the trendy tard stamp.

So reading the opposite (and correct) advice -- "larp as a retard all you want, most of us are larpers here, but don't get certified, that has IRL consequences" -- on peddit of all places is a rarity.

Thats what gets me though, because theres just no way, you can tell. You can always tell, and it just knocks people right out of the story.
You show me one Pooner that could pass for a guy like Hank.
Even Buck Angel is just tiny weird manlet, and she probably passes better than any of them, most of them look like Ellen Page.
Clancy Brown isn't huge, but he's not a small dude, he's as big as me, he's 6'3, and probably weighs about 220, he's not a tiny effeminate manlet, ok you don't want to have tiny Ellen Page style Pooners, but you still have to be believable, no one is gonna look at Hank and picture him struggling with gender dysphoria as a young Pooner, its ridiculous.
I see what she's saying about not wanting all Pooners to be Twinks but you need to at least be somewhat realistic.

Regarding the trans fanfic writers: What I find amusing is how they always seem to make the most masculine man, the transgender one. (I've seen people write my namesake as having a vagina and being pregnant lol).

What gets me is that the characters that they choose are always the stereotype of masculinity; they're muscular, strong, hairy, powerful, stoic, aggressive etc. Nothing like a pooner in any, way, shape or form. It's a weird sort of projection. It's them saying that that's how they see themselves but the hilarious part is that they end up writing the characters so out of character and so female-brained that they themselves contradict their own definition and assumption of masculinity. And prove just how far they are from it.

They also ruin masculine dudes. Who wants to read a fic about their favourite strong man only for him to have a pussy. Gross 🤢

My transphobic phone played The Lumberjack Song today. So violent, Apple. Five troons an hero’d during those four minutes.

I love how the joke is a man with a fetish who is making people uncomfortable. It’s basically the reaction literally everyone has to trannies, but no one is telling them they are wrong for their feelings. I hope that someday we can get back to a place where we can express our discomfort openly again. It should be okay to have boundaries in any circumstances.

Until then I shall keep my transphobic phone playing Lumberjacks because it always makes my day better.

This is the funny part, yeah. You'd look at them compared to the twink-on-twink yaoi pairings and think "well, maybe these pooners who are into strong hairy dudes are at least learning from it."

Like, if their long-time friend stabs them in the back/accidentally misgenders them, WWCRD? Crytype on tumblr or punch a boulder and then take proactive steps to fix their own problem with an RPG launcher?

It's an awful paradox about the online FtMs: they've realized finally that they are true and honest men, and to prove it they become way more performatively fragile and feminine and helpless.

Not always. Anna Krieder wrote a Howl's Moving Castle game/fanfic that gender-swapped Sophie so her Howl/Sophie could be gay. But then, Anna's a fag hag.

My take on the pooner fanfic: she bitches about the sex scene that a “cis” woman wrote that dared talk about ~vaginas~ and how offensive that was REEEEEE - but the same exact scene written by a pooner would have been just fine.

I about laughed myself into a stroke right there. If it’s transphobic from a cissy it’s transphobic from a tranny. Secondly, how do you know the author is cis? Even if she says she is you just don’t know if she’s in the closet, bigot! What, you mean you can always tell? Do go on.

I’m not sure why a sane person would write tranny fanfic, but I feel like the word “sane” is doing some pretty heavy lifting here.

Hell Danny Devito and Kevin Hart are shorty's but you wouldn't think pooner in a million years.

It's not just the height it's that plus everything else frame, body language, voice, hips, fat convergence, everything about them that just screams this is a woman because well they are.

Taking notes for my next mpreg fic.

...suspenders and a bra?!

Men wearing women's clothes has always been inherently funny (see also: the past 5000+ pages of this thread). I long for the days we're allowed to have comedy again, Kiwi frens
