True, maybe his lawyer did get him in a group home and he feels happier there. At the very least he will have a level of discipline and routine that he hasn't had since he left HS. That would do him good.

Agreed, and I get a little MATI with so many assuming Chris raped Barb. If Barb started any of this on her autistic son, she's a monster that should have been locked up. Even if she didn't, it's still an awful situation with the boundary issues she definitely caused.

I think Barb didn't squeel, and without her testimony, it is just the internet's word against Chris, and maybe an few used condoms that can indicate sex, but proving rape without Barb actually saying "yeah he was a bad boy" is hard.

I mean, for a boomer judge who isn't an avid Christorian, imagine yourself in his shoes.

Locking him up and getting him evaluated for a year or two is propably the best that they could do with what they got. The judge would have just thrown him in the looney bin if it was better, older times, but nowdays he just wanted to make sure that the random retard was just being retarded and knock some sense into him.

I bet this was because Chris proudly claimed to the cops he soul bonded with Barb, instead of "Uh oh they blackmailed me on the internets" . Even should the judge think Chris is just imagining his barbussy spelunking, its a good enough excuse to have him checked out before he wanders in front of a schoolbus.

I'd assume it was Chris confessing to the police as if he'd done nothing wrong was what happened. They're not going to arrest someone based on the say-so of some nutjob all the way across the country. If anything they'd be inclined to disregard anything from Internet autists after literally over a decade of incessant bullshit calls about Chris.

The fact they immediately put him under a protective order and then immediately jailed him after he broke it indicates they had more than that. They may not have had enough for rape but they had enough to keep him in jail almost as long as he'd have been there had he been found guilty.

I'd say yeah he's absolutely happier in the group home. I don't know the specific rules of what such an arrangement entails, and if it's just a bunch of legitimate retards that he lives with, but I'd imagine its easier than living with a demented mother constantly being under financial pressure. Only exception would be no internet access, but I don't think Chris has anything like that. Chris honestly should just become a streamer or something to make a decent living.

We've actually seen Chris try streaming. He literally demanded five bucks after some random person over co-op helped him with a level in Uncharted 4 as I recall.
