I'd argue that letting them have their echo chamber but taking away their influence is far more damaging to them than just removing it because it would mean that they would migrate and it would create another Tumblr scenario. The only way I see them doing the most damage to themselves is when they turn on each other or when the hammer drops.
I think the exodus from Tumblr to Twitter was so disastrous because it was a move to a much more successful platform that was already populated by businesses, politicians, celebrities, etc. for years. It was a direct pipeline for their BS to to the exact people of influence they needed to reach with it. Anything else will be a step down as far as I can tell, and people like ArmzApe know this, thus they continue to latch onto Xitter like a life raft despite feeling antagonized by Musk. She also tried to appeal to TikTok but fell on her face, so I think some of these aging whinners know they're going to be erased by the transition to new social media.
