The thing is if he took half the time he ises getting all worked up on twitter and put that to his work and learning he might be a decent artist by now. He going back to DeviantArt would be the ultimate backpedal but I really don't see it happening since the one sore issue he has with the site is that comments on the profile page cannot be disabled as it is with submissions. And then is the issue of DeviantArt becoming a shit show as of late.

That is what happens when a site decides to be complacent with their early success and then becoming stagnant. I don't remember the last time DA offered a big money prize competition or any other sort of incentive to spur activity in the community. Then there is Patreon which essentially came up with a valid method for artists to make a living of off their creations, something DA failed miserably to do and now they are paying the consequences. Patreon essentially is killing DA, any serious artist has already switched their focus to Patreon as their main site, only using DA as a second or third tier promotional outlet.

Still, this is Dobson we are talking about here, the guy who straight up was told not to open a Patreon because barely anyone was willing to give him money for his work, but did it anyway. Going back to DA now that most relevant people are leaving would speak volumes as to how out of touch with reality he is.

not to forget he doesn't keep up any of his promises. Milestone shit aside, he never gave anyone some percentage off on his comics or gave them the chance to talk to him about current projects. And that doesn't even cover the fact that he fails to do any sort of advertisement for his stuff at all. I said it once and will it sa again: Dobson is not even back to square one at this point, he threw his playing figure off the board.
