Armored Core

When I first beat the game I thought "Ok now NG+ is going to kick my ass"
But it didn't get much more difficult, there's a couple news ways some missions can go, and a couple new ones, but getting the other ending wasn't much harder.

NG++ exclusive missions are rough.
Cool story though, once you get near the end of 4 it starts to dramatically change the story missions, and the end mission is much harder than the others.

Seeing as I've never played an AC game before I can't compare it to the others, but I will say it's a tough game that can be cheesed in some parts with the right weapons, tank body also really strong since dodging can be hard to time with some bosses.

8/10 wish assault rifles were as good as shotguns.
Also the bonewheels can blow me.

It has also started crashing like crazy, once every mission or two, always in the hangar. Don't know if this has to do with me playing with anti-cheat disabled or what but its becoming an issue.
I have it enabled and it's messing with me too. I had a crash today after dying which really tilted me, since I had to restart the mission. The weird thing is the game ran perfectly fine for like the first day and half for me, but now the crashes are happening with some fairly annoying frequency.

If either of you guys find any leads on on dealing with the crashing please share. The same shit has been plaguing me and I got so tired of it I haven't played all weekend. I've also been getting some other weird stuttering after even bypassing EAC. The only fix for that I've found is manually disabling/enabling processor affinity but it needs to be done every time I launch the game. Other than that, the game runs like a dream.

The juggernaught killed me repeatedly for an hour straight... but I got good and it's dead now.

The second phase was horrible though.

Spent almost 24 hours on AC6 and I gotta say: If you insist on being a lazy nigger then run dual kinetic shotguns or double gatling with back slots and expansion appropriate for the mission you're about to play.
Balteus? Dual pulse guns on back to rape the shield then dual shotgun + kick to rape its ass.
Smart Cleaner? Dual shotgun with quad legs, blast its top hole then the front hole.
Sea spider? Dual shotgun then laser blade up its ass, keep close to or above it so the beam laser doesn't hit.
Most AC fights? Get a pair of Zimmerman for instant ACS break then follow up with weapons of your choice, laser lance being my favorite but might miss if too high above the target.
CATAPHRACT? Did I mention dual shotguns?
Ice Worm? Gimmick fight, anything will work.
Ibis the cunt? I admit this fight took way many tries from me to beat it but dual gatlings on wheelchair tank legs (lol) and 2 stun guns you get from fighting Ice Worm.
Ayre? lol.
Still making my way through NG+ at the moment so maybe there's bosses that even dual shotguns or gatling can't cheese but yeah, those 2 weapons should be able to cover most of your first playthrough.

Balteus has spent the last hour kicking my shit in. Have to take a break as I started getting sloppier and sloppier, eating hits that I would otherwise have dodge perfectly in previous attempts. Tomorrow, his ass is grass.

I discovered being aggressive was the way to go. Keep close, dodge his cannon attack, and blade him when possible. At first I was hanging back and pelting him with missiles but he won that on attrition.

I still get my ass kicked the first one or two tries, but I can beat him now at least.

Normally I'm godawful at video games but I beat Balteus on my second try because I think the game didn't expect my Full Retard Stratz. I just circled-strafed him with a shotgun/explosives like it was Doom, then when I ran out of ammo, I jumped on his back and alternated between punching/swording him until he died out of nowhere. I was legitimately surprised something so stupid worked.

The "just shoot him" tank build wrecks balteus. 2 plasma rifles or pulse guns. 2 laser cannons. Max ap and max defense (You do have to dodge some)

I can't tell if the later bosses were designed with these broken combos in mind or not. If you're not right on their ass and staggering them every 20 seconds you'll get your shit pushed in, but then again using something like a songbirds + minigun tank build completely trivializes the arena

Yep. This is my current double-shotgun build and it absolutely dumpsters just about anything except for the equally fast AC-sized bosses with contemptuous ease. It would probably be more optimal with a better shoulder weapon like the songbird but using that requires me to lose 3 km/h of boost speed (the horror) and to stop when firing it, which triggers my crack-addict autism.

Beat Balteus with bazooka, pulse blade, four-cell missile, and plasma missile. Used the assault armor once and missed, got him with the second one, but got creamed right after. I had around 1000 AP left when I took him out with the blade. God damn that felt good. I can't wait to use this pile bunker on something.

Dont like soulsborne because its sword stuff, should I get AC6? Love mechs but terrible at souls games.

If you absolutely don't want to be slowed down with cannon type weapons then replace it with laser shotguns. I run 2 Zimmerman kinetic and 2 Wuerger laser shotguns on back, use TALBOT FCS for good close and mid range targetting. Break ACS with Zimmerman then follow up with a kick then laser shotguns, absolute crackhead braindead setup.

While still at the start of Chapter 5, I've been going back to replay many previous missions for collectibles and S-Ranks. Before I figured that a tank with gatlings and spread bazookas would be my boss-smasher, but it seemed like ammo cost was impeding on my S-Ranks. My economical solution was simple: shotgun + pile bunker. Throw in laser orbits once acquired for free extra damage.

And boy is it fun. Staggered enemy ACs are obliterated by a charged pile bunker. Turned out that the original announcement trailer got that right. Props to whoever at Fromsoft came up with the idea to slow-mo killshots on significant enemies as they explode fantastically.

The missions after the sea spider is what I've been waiting for. Lot's of baby mechs, some tougher ones, and a nice setpiece at the end without a bullshit boss. Surprised the ship went down easier than your mother though.
