On Maddox, there was a time when he was genuinely funny and his blogs always got a laugh out of me, but over time he got fucking lazy and when he appeared on cable news as a little balding Armenian man [wearing a fucking crown and a cape unironically] it who talks through his nostrils absolutely destroyed the image one might have had in their head based on his website. I still get a laugh out of some of his old articles but around 2008-2009 he started phoning it in and at a certain point the "X Best Page In the Universe" imitators actually were putting out better content than he was and Dick [despite his many personal faults] totally upstaged him in terms of funny for a while. From there on George only really worked as a punching bag, serving the same purpose Vito does now in the 'reboot' of TBPITU.

George himself did an awful fucking lot of underhanded, duplicitous, petty shit to fuck with Dick and no matter how bad Dick's later character arc got [hob-knobbing with trannies and retards] at that time Dick had never really done anything to Maddox that warranted such a vendetta.

I've wondered if George's website content is funny enough to stand on its own merits or if you just 'had to be there' at that time to 'get it'. The 'cynical antisocial asshole' shtick is over done now but it was unique during that period of time, but in an age where any old fucking asshole with a microphone can start a 'show', start streaming or spin up a podcast with their dumb friends, you have to do a lot more to stand out.

Unfortunately catching up on the current George Ouzounian drama also informed that Whang is apparently a tranny apologist. That's a shame because I kinda liked his content. It's not groundbreaking or crazy good, essentially all he does is the same Tim Pool shtick of reading shit out for people who can't be bothered to find it and read it themselves, but his videos were decent to have on in the background while doing something else. It's pretty lazy content but Maddox shouldn't be throwing stones about lazy content when he went years without updating his fucking site.

Crying about citing sources in comedy YouTube videos might be as gay as it gets. The only time it's acceptable is when people don't cite the Farms, because it's bullshit to privately use information from here while publicly either denouncing or saying nothing to support us, but other than that I really don't need to know which forum Whang used to get all his Silent Hill circumcision lore from.

I watched the video and if you have absolutely no idea who Maddox is, it does a pretty good job of getting his point across.

The first part is dedicated to Whang and, honestly it seems like it was included exclusively so that he could make a video about Asterios without including his name in the title, so as not to gratify him (it also helps that Whang has a much bigger audience which makes people more likely to click). Part of the video revolves around Whang making shitty, lazy content where he lifts sources without crediting them. Some of this is funny, in particular highlighting the bits from Tales of the Internet where he just rips off Reddit posts (which, yeah all of these sorts of shitty youtubers do) but some of it just comes across as nitpicky autism, like the part where complains that "meme police" sounds too much like "content cop".

He then attempts to tie Whang to Asterios and to harassment he has faced through Dickheads (though he will pretend they are fans of Asterios, because he is terrified of mentioning Dick directly). Some of this comes off as a legit, Whang posting about his speaking gig is legitimately very scummy and hypocritical. But then pretending that he is involved or responsible for random lunatics claiming Maddox gave them the Louis CK special is an obvious reach. And again, the video is only most effective when you don't know anything about Maddox, the account that did this was called 'Heather S', a reference to when Maddox pretended to be a woman and used this to lie about others. You also have to not know that Maddox also tried to tie Dick into claims of rape apologism using out of context clips and of "maintaining a rape list". This does not make the person who did that to Maddox in any way justified. Two wrongs don't make a right but it is telling that Maddox is neglecting to mention the other wrong in the first place.

It really does seem like Maddox specifically goes after Asterios because he knows that it would be near impossible to go after Dick without explaining the actions he decided to take prior to the lawsuit (which he also avoids mentioning he lost spectacularly). For those who don't remember that includes: lying about Dick stealing money, claiming he was responsible for a "rape list", calling his girlfriend's employer to try and get her fired (which led to his own ex-girlfriend having a restraining order), getting Dick kicked out of UCB, falsely claiming a trademark on something Dick owned in common with him and trying to strongarm people into not appearing on his show. If you are aware of this, it's much harder to take Maddox seriously when he claims the moral high ground over Asterios.

I'll say it again though, two wrongs don't make a right. A lot of what Asterios did was funny and clearly just a joke but it's also clear that he took Maddox's autistic vow of public silence and ran with it to make a buck and some of the stuff he did was shifty and it's unsurprising the guy lost his job if he did it on company time. But Maddox trying to reframe it as "jokes don't bother me, call me a cuck" is revisionist horseshit. Literally all Madcucks did was make cuck jokes and he got sued too. It clearly bothered him. if he was fine being called a cuck, it makes zero sense to do that, or to do shit like make that ridiculously long list of banned words when he appeared on the Drunken Peasants.

It's honestly a little sad. I remember liking Maddox content, I actually found the old podcast when it was airing (though I never stuck around as a repeat listener). If he had just made a video like this, a long time ago and not filed a dumb lawsuit, there probably would have been much more goodwill towards the guy and he wouldn't have to pretend to be a banana for a living, or whatever he does now. I'm glad he learned that male feminists and people who try and fuck with your job because they don't like you are shitheads and that you have to address shit publicly to deal with it. It's a shame he only learnt that after spending 7 years as a male feminist, fucking with people's jobs (I'll remind you he thought job lynch mobs "weren't a problem" on the BPITU) and not saying a word.

Also he alluded to "making more on this if people are interested", which likely means making a similar video on Dick. Good luck with that one buddy.
