Holy shit Expanse even uses the same Ring type technology that's in Halo. While the two ring devices function differently in the respective series, they both serve as the device to introduce the ancient alien species. Stargate does the same thing too and that's even older.

No one cares about the story. I know its been a decade since Skyrim or whatever, but Bethesda games are some of the only games you play to deliberately avoid the story and fuck about in a big sandbox.

Of course it still loads in cells, they're still using the same dumbass old engine. It's an issue mostly for modders if more than one person wants to so something with a popular spot or the same middle of nowhere spot by coincidence.
