Doobus Goobus
Imagine for a moment all the negative traits that a digital artist can have. Someone who is incredibly egotistical, has a smug and pedantic personality when he's confronted, attracts the necrotic tranny crowd of Twitter like a magnet, and is allergic to criticism, even though you can clearly point out that his animations and drawings are shit and if you are not careful on your criticism, he can expose you in Twitter and organizing a witch hunt against you so his fans can send you threats and insults for daring to criticize him. This is the case of the Youtuber and (former?) Newgrounds animator, Doobus Goobus. An "animator" who has started to get an increasing popularity in the last couple of months with his parody animated videos. But his ugly personality never fails to reach the surface occasionally to show who he truly is.
Backstory:
Not much is known about his personal life, all the information gathered about him is that he was born in August 27, 2000, born in the United States (presumably from the state of Washington) and that he has a brother, who did VA for him in a video once. Doobus started his online presence on July 20, 2016, starting as a mere Newgrounds account like many, and initiating a Youtube account during the same time. He would become known a little in his first days on Newgrounds. Despite linking his Newgrounds account in recent uploads, his last upload there (until the release of Friday Night Hunkin: Mods on Apr 1st, 2022) was on October 21st, 2021 and now just posts his animations on YouTube and Twitter. There is probably a reason why he doesn't upload in Newgrounds anymore, but we'll leave this portion of the thread for later.Despite having grown in popularity since his days in Newgrounds, his career really took off when he started making the Friday Night Hunkin' series. A series with a short duration that parodies the popular game, Friday Night Funkin'.
As you can clearly see, the quality was off the table in terms of comedy, when comparing how popular the game was at the time, and this really made a difference on his channel, managing to reach 14 million views up until now. Making it the most popular saga of videos on his channel.
Controversies in Newgrounds and allergy to criticism:
Even though he likes to maintain a facade of being a wholesome and very friendly content creator, he has some shame that was very wisely put under the rug by him. As stated before, there's a good reason why he doesn't upload his animations onto Newground anymore. One might assume that it's because he gets more engagement from YouTube, which is a fairly rational explanation, but it can also be argued that it's because he is no longer welcome on Newgrounds. He is a controversial figure with a past history of making poor decisions that tarnished his reputation on the site.When you look up his name in the Newgrounds Wiki (Yes, there is one.) You'll see a list of the things he has done during his days on Newgrounds:
And is for a good reason in particular, one thing you should note almost immediately when you look up his comments, is that he... doesn't seem to like very much receiving criticism...and he can't ignore to do it, which seems to paint a target on his back getting trolled.
A user named stanpai once gave an honest critique of his work, making simple but direct comments about his style of animation and attempts at comedy. As Newgrounds has a reputation for being harsh on rookie animators, so these kinds of comments were hardly surprising. But in the case of Doobus however, he got REALLY mad about it:
After doing some of these responses for a while in most of his animations, some animators took notice of this, and got fed up with the way how he responded to it at some point. Like this reply for example.
There is not a proper archive on this particular event or even registered tweets about it, unless he went on a DFE rampage. But there are a lot of comments in episode 7 of Friday Night Hunkin' where, connecting the dots on the situation, he seemed to have taken a screenshot of a commentary from a user named Goobee and organized a witch hunt against the user, receiving a lot of harassment in the process. Apparently, he didn't even censor the name, whether this was done on purpose or not was never confirmed.
In response to all the controversy caused by Doobus because of the drama generated. ProsciuttoMan stepped up and gave a proper response in the form of an animation, called Goobee's Lament. Accurately describing the situation, with Doobus sending his fans to attack the person who made the comment.

Such a shame that the same trick will not work twice around here.
Political Sperging:
Although the main focus of Doobus's channel is supposed to be comedic animation, if he's feeling particularly pissy about a certain political subject, he will make SURE to work in how he feels about it in whatever video he's currently working on. Given that the majority of his audience is composed of trannies or easily influeceable kids, they will clap at every cookie cutter leftist opinion he regurgitates without a second thought. Sometimes Doobus will make a dedicated video or Twitter post in an attempt to own those nasty bigots or probably those he considers from the right wing so then he can be flooded by likes and supportive comments to keep feeding his ego.The most recent and famous example of this, is his Confederacy video.
Whatever your opinions are on the Confederacy and what their motives might be, this is the moment when Doobus decided to go all in and became a full-blown political sperg. This video has everything on how someone does a very bad political comedy video.
- The strawman, is usually portrayed as an idiot who only babbles words.
- The main character, Doobus, represents himself as a genius who lectures the bad guy and telling that he's wrong in everything. Even if he's right, he comes out as a self-righteous virtue signaling douchebag in this video.
- Directly insulting the other side of the political side. Of course, never let him have a talk through the entire video. Even when people like Sr. Pelo makes something like this, he does the effort to do a sketch involving the other side, Doobus in this case just wanted to fill the viewer with paragraphs of text, providing little to zero comedic tones.
- Filling you with 10.000 words per second, proving the mantra of 'the left can't meme' is correct.
Keep in mind that this is something that Sr. Pelo used to do as well, but in a totally different manner, while Sr. Pelo tries to talk about a political topic in a calm and respectful manner while adding tones of comedy to his animations. Doobus in this comes out as an unlikable asshole in an attempt to have attention and shitting on historic events just to portrait something that becomes more obvious the more you start paying attention on these kind of videos, his hate of conservatives. And given how he is someone who really likes to talk about how much his content sucks, you just know that he felt very proud on making this just as a move to boost the views on his channel.
He sure did felt proud of it before posting it too.

He also said that he received death threats from the "states' rights folks". But as always, he provided zero evidence of that happening, not a single screenshot, nor videos or images. Just an attempt to be seen as a victim of the violent Confederates so his video can hold more weight.

Of course, he did this to garner to the wild tranny and lefty crowd. Doing the best he can to detach himself from these outdated ideologies. He's a good boy, he never had a controversy that would make him a bad guy with wrongthinking opinions.
Well, except for two years ago.
You see, in 2021, he was in the middle of a controversy that involved him. When he insisted that trannies are annoying and "he doesn't like them". The explanation the fanbase gave some time later is that he was "pressured" into saying that by SonnyFTM in his Discord server. And that only served as ammunition to absolutely blast Doobus during a brief period of time, in which allegedly made Doobus broke in tears.
A little extract from the conversation the two had during the Discord call:
It seemed that the whole event traumatized him, because after the incident he backed down and donated like 100$ dollars to some tranny charity organization to show just how sorry he was.

He was since then getting pretty careful about the topics he talks online, which can explain a little how he posts reminders about how much he loves trannies and how cruel the world is against them.
Of course, he also white knights the trannies really hard. Every once in a while he posts something that goes something like: "Why are trans people so hated, guysss?"
Political Sperging 2: Twitter:
Like many leftist digital artists who have a Youtube channel, you can bet that his Twitter is a cesspool, either for throwing hands at whoever might be disagreeing with him or when he has to post a thread doing political ranting. Doobus doesn't do this frequently, as he mostly posts about Nintendo garbage, but when he gets political, he really gets on.One has to wonder what kind of opinion he has to be making these posts, you know which one, considering his tiring liberalism.

There is also an instance where he had to clarify that he wasn't a Jew because of the memes that people were doing about him. He then had to clarify that he has French heritage, which honestly it doesn't make it any better.

Conclusion:
Doobus Goobus has the case of letting the hype and quick growth on his channel go straight into his head and become an obnoxious asshole. He feels that there is nothing to change about him and feels like the voice of reason in everything he says and he can never be wrong about the topics he talks about. And while he can be funny with his videos every once in a while, his shitty attitude against others can't go unnoticed.And for someone who loves to point out that his animations and drawings suck, he sure gets pretty pissy and defensive when other content creators criticize his work. Just look what happened when someone criticized him and got used as a punching bag for his amusement by the community.
And seeing that is someone who really likes to be in controversy to get some boost in views, I hope that there is no problem with him getting a thread here.
