EVERY. FUCKING. TIME. It's amazing honestly. I don't know of any cow that matches Pat for blatant denial of easily proven facts.
None of them do it so directly, let alone so often. Pat really is a standout for just how pig-headed he is. It's interesting, because Technicality Tomlinson comes out of the idea that he's finding ways to be right, but that theory only exists because we're just not used to someone lying so blatantly, so regularly, and in such an easily exposed manner, so we try and rationalise how he could do it. Is he all about writing his replies so he's technically telling the truth, or is it just reflex blanket denial of any accusation no matter what?
Honestly, it could go either way. That he still responds specifically can suggest the first. That's he's clearly mentally stuck in thinking he can just lie about shit and people will believe him - with, until the last few years, good reason - suggests the second. And look at the circles he's running in (subtle Pat cheating at the half-marathon reference there); Jackie Singh is a blatant peddler of bullshit, but it's the right kind of bullshit for her to get away with no matter what she's lying about and how obvious she is about it.
Basically, the internet has given people carte blanche to lie about everything. As it's grown, it's become easier to fact-check some of their claims, but calling out a liar doesn't do much, especially if they have enough people willing to hugbox them. Brianna Wu, Pat's biggest crush, is a good example; anyone with eyes knows he's absolutely full of shit, and he routinely gets called out for it, but very rarely by anyone other than random Xitter users halfway down a comment thread, because there's no use trying to hold him accountable.
Rewriting reality has proven possible, profitable and effective for people with no shame, as long as they're selling a version of reality that other people want to buy into. It's why so many journalists are psychopathic liars, and it's why Pat is particularly notable in that he could have, if he had any sense, gotten himself a little niche as an around 50k-follower (many of them even real!) Xitter presence with the occasional Z-grade talking head spot, like his ones in whatever station's woowoo 'documentaries' he appeared in. But he couldn't block, ignore, and just maintain his version of reality, he had to actively fight anyone challenging it, endlessly, and attract a group of people with the time and willingness to provoke him as much as possible.
So is he Technicality Tomlinson or Reflexively Deny Tomlinson? I doubt we'll ever know. What really matters is just that he's Never Let The Idiots Win Tomlinson, so he is completely unable to not respond, no matter what. He's found his losing strategy, and he's sticking to it until the bitter end.

Doubtful. There's so much mess around the whole thing that there's plausible deniability for everything, especially because the closest thing to a smoking gun would be only in the form of internet transactions and emails, both of which would require a hack to leak and can also easily be faked-up screenshots. The torswats guys are unreliable dipshits, after all.
There was something - the details are in the thread somewhere, but I'm vague on them - about Pat having a crypto account and there being numbers or information that the swatters couldn't know unless they'd had contact from Pat's financials, which I believed was said to be solid but not irrefutable evidence. I personally am certain he organised some of the SWATs himself and thought that since before torswats claimed he'd done so, but the consensus seems to be there will never be enough evidence for a court of law unless the feds get involved.
To me, though, the evidence all points to him doing it and that you don't have to be smart to pull it off, let alone not get in trouble for it. For as shit as swatting is and how many there have been, and even ones definitively linked to a perpetrator, the only person who has ever been legally pursued for doing it to my knowledge was the one kid who got another kid killed because of it. Even for as much Pat's local PD likely hate him for going full Pat at them, that swatting is so dangerous is an indictment on the police being so easily weaponised, so there's an inbuilt reason for them to not investigate as their methods then get called into question.
But I do think as solid as proof as we can get has been leaked, it's just definitive proof can't exist. Especially when the perpetrators are themselves a bunch of immature morons, pointing the finger at each other and making up shit because chaos is the least disturbing thing that amuses them. Everyone involved are liars, but the main argument against is that Pat's too stupid, and I've never thought that's a factor considering he loves a false flag and can google.
