In reality Pocahontas would have been about 14 when she met John Smith. That's likely where the creep factor comes from. John Smith was also a notorious shit talker and we don't really have the Pocahontas' side of the story, but after she "saved" Smith's life she was captured and held for ransom before being taken back to England. What I'm saying here is if you want to make a point about "white privilege", you probably shouldn't use a screencap from a film that is only ever told from a white man's perspective. Not to get preachy but you might as well paste the same message onto a screencap from Song of the South.

ED has some of the early comics that LaBelle deleted as well. Like the "pee out of my clit" one as well as Ciel's original origin as genderfluid when Sophie forced him into a dress.

Thank you, I'll check that out as well. I've found a few older interviews for AM, LaBill's (now defunct) alternate tumblr, and, I freaking kid you not, a "glamour shot" portfolio of LaBill himself.

I've got both of those now as well, making excellent progress on archiving everything from the old thread. About 400 pages in so far. Saving all edits in folders by creator's username, also saving all original strips, posters, arcs, zines, coloring books, facebook quotes and posts, glamour shots and exploitables. Everything from the old thread is being saved and categorized.

It's all neatly arranged and organized. If it's in the old thread, I either have it now or will soon. Let me know what you need and I'll get it to you. Basically every image in the old thread will be there, even facebook posts, comments, and screencaps and eventually I'd like to just upload the entire archive someplace for convenient downloading for whoever wants it. Some seriously amazing stuff in there. It's still in progress at the moment, but if you remember anything kind of specific, I'll grab it and post it.

This weekend has been nothing but bullshit weather with excessive heat and storms, and has prevented me from getting anything done, so I have some free time to be doing this. Then I'll do this thread.

The simple fact is that no one is obliged to find a person sexually attractive, because that's just not how it works. It's an instinctive thing. If the discovery that your date is biologically male turns you off, that's not transphobia or cishet conditioning or whatever, it's just how you're wired. Frankly, the suggestion that sexual attraction is political is up there with the idea that people choose to be gay.

Really, though, if anyone should be changing their sexual opinions, it's Sophie. She could probably get a guy, but she's determined not to go with tranny-chasers because she doesn't want to be fetishised. She wants straight guys, but can't have them because straight guys ipso facto are not into cock. So it seems to me that Sophie should just accept that, like everyone in this world, she can't get everything she wants and should settle for what she can get. I think there's also a fetishistic element. The concept of "turning" someone is a popular fantasy for men and women, gay and straight alike. It's a combination of forbidden fruit and empowerment. "You are so sexually attractive that this off-limits person wants to fuck you." I wouldn't be surprised if one of the reasons Sophie is determined to have a straight guy is because it shows that she is such a hot woman that even straight men want her girldick.
