The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced they will step back as "senior" royals and work to become financially independent.

In a statement, Prince Harry and Meghan also said they plan to split their time between the UK and North America.

The BBC understands no other royal - including the Queen or Prince William - was consulted before the statement and Buckingham Palace is "disappointed".

Senior royals are understood to be "hurt" by the announcement.

In their unexpected statement on Wednesday, also posted on their Instagram page, the couple said they made the decision "after many months of reflection and internal discussions".

"We intend to step back as 'senior' members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen."

They said they plan to balance their time between the UK and North America while "continuing to honour our duty to the Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages".

"This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity."

A Buckingham Palace spokeswoman said discussions with the duke and duchess on their decision to step back were "at an early stage", adding: "We understand their desire to take a different approach, but these are complicated issues that will take time to work through."

The couple's announcement on Wednesday comes two months after the Duke of York withdrew from public life after a BBC interview about his ties to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who killed himself in August.

Meghan’s endgame was to racially guilt the crown into being queen. When it became clear that wasn’t going to happen, she just tried to squeeze any money out of the marriage. Now that this is almost done, there’s no use for Harry and it’s time to throw him out. She’s delusional enough to think that her new “friends” like Oprah, Michelle Obama and Beyoncé will remain friends after a divorce.

She's counting on the American media to back her up, and our family courts favor the female insanely.
This would be a major jurisdictional question. Assuming Meghan has physical custody and remains stateside, things with the family courts here may work in her favor. But as much as Harry has fallen from grace, his children are still part of the royal family. It wouldn't be worth the diplomatic cost to rendition the children but if they were to ever find themselves in the Commonwealth or another Crown subject, they would have every "right" to take and return them to Harry. (More accurately royal family staff to try and prevent the kids from winding up like mom or dad) I don't see them kowtowing to an American court with regards to custody, support, or alimony.

I don't follow these two closely, but finding out the thing everybody here knew was likely is funny. You can almost feel sorry for Harry for believing that attention whore of a woman actually cared about anything but using his status for her own gain... almost. He knew what she was doing in terms of the hypocritical virtue signalling for fame and wealth, but was too deluded to realize they weren't in it together because she is an American celebrity mutt activist - pretty much one of the worst, most self-serving combination of traits possible.

Imagine being excommunicated from your royal family and it's wealth because you couldn't marry a non-celebrity from your own country, William absolutely clowning on his brother.

The worse part isn't even that. It's not the first time English royals do a fuck up by choosing a partner. The worse part is that he did it with the less possible grace and decorum that you should expect from a prince. He could have said "I love my family, but the royal duties are too much for my new family, we'd like to help (our) people from a different angle, as commoners, and I will always love my father, brother, and grandmother, who no matter what, I'll always consider a part of me and we'll always be together whenever they need me, please respect our decisions and our privacy".

No. Instead, they said:

"EVERYBODY HATES ME AND MY WIFE AND THEY ARE RACIST AND BAD AND WE ARE GONNA SAVE THE WORLD ALSO FOLLOW MEGHAN ON INSTAGRAM AND SUBSCRIBE TO MY PODCAST".

He burned the bridge and then poured acid into the river and somehow he's the victim.

I enjoy the Meghan Markle defenders because they always show extreme projection and pulling out strawmen arguments when she's criticized. This is not 1923. Meghan can do as she pleases without being hanged to a tree. Every single high-profile person has their own share of hate but for some reason, Amerimutt Meghan is an exception.

I also think a lot of people defend her to project their dreams of marrying rich, "sophisticated" men who aren't Tyrone or Uncle Billy Bob Jenkins. But hey, I can't imagine having the chance to pick any compliant doormat that will follow family-in-law orders but end up picking a Z-list attention-seeking actress looking for her 15 minutes of fame.

Harry was fucked the second he got hitched to this woman, its a ticking time bomb. the "he was racist" accusations would be a no brainer and when she divorces he'll be on the hook. People are theorizing she had more help with the book than has been told, because the way it reads makes him look like a millionaire version of ethan ralph and he'd be equally as fucked in divorce court. He's going to be on the hook for child support and i'm sure the main reason she didn't divorce him sooner is the acting strike would mean she has no income and way too much competition in the influencer/presenter field.

Netflix finally released Heart of Invictus. I haven't watched it (and not planning to) but this woman did and gave a review if you're curious to know what's in it:

TLDR:
>almost no Meghan
>probably cut her out after filming during editing
>DOES contain shit ton of Harry
>stories of veterans are interesting/heartbreaking
>keeps inserting Harry and his stupid speeches/petty BS which ruins what might've otherwise been a good docu

Except for the last bit, this is exactly the type of material they should’ve been producing and releasing since Megxit. I cannot get over how badly they botched their goodwill.

Literally all they needed to do was co-sign productions where other people told their stories and pepper in some soft commentary like, “We can never forget the personal tolls of war.” Meghan’s version could have been, like, black single moms starting businesses and struggling to find financing and childcare. They would’ve been woke darlings.

The only thing Meghan is genuinely good at is managing to fuck up every opportunity in the most ridiculous way possible.
Examples: Making unsolicited calls to senators' private numbers (BIG no no in the political world), being such an insufferable cunt on every media production that her bad reputation proceeds her via the Hollywood grape vine so all the producers she needs for projects won't touch her with a 100 foot pole, etc. etc. etc.

They would’ve been woke darlings.
They are woke darlings. Wokefags love them. Wokefags don't care about integrity or quality work, they care about blaming wite pipo for everything and perpetual victimhood, which is exactly what Duchess Dum Dum embodies. She has been blatantly lying from day one and to this day wokefags haven't given a single shit and they fucking love her.

In 1923, she'd easily pass for white and any rumblings about the prince marrying a "negro" would be suppressed in the British press and the American press would hardly cover them at all.

Maybe that's not far off? Just sayin' :P

Looks like the Sussexes have dropped from view, but let's dust off some old scandal about his great uncle Teddy. 8)

Saw this yesterday.

I had heard that Edward was a Hitler fan and he was considered a possible acceptable King for a Nazi British state, but never heard about him being considered  after the war.

Legit good catch and new info by Felton.

She passes as white today. The only reason we know otherwise is because she won't fucking shut up about it.

Not primarily the Duchess, but she gets a few paragraphs and the article is illustrated with her pic to get you to click it.

Some interesting comments were made about Princess Meghan—if indeed she is still a princess, it’s hard to keep up—recently by Sir Trevor Phillips, a relatively sane black man who formerly headed up Britain’s Equality and Human Rights Commission commissariat. According to Clever Trevor, due to her upbringing in a wealthy enclave in L.A., and racially ambiguous half-white appearance, Meghan had “never regarded herself particularly as black” before joining the Royal Family, and so “in a sense race was never really a part of her background.” ... “she had to learn how to be black on the job, as it were, and I think she made a bit of a mess of it.”
