Looks like Wikipedia needed another made up article to cite. The only form of life lower than “journalist” is “Tech journalist”.

We ain’t harassing nobody, we’re just making fun of people using publicly available information. They literally cannot stand the fact that someone somewhere thinks they are disgusting and isn’t afraid to talk about it.

That and awful, abusive people are seething at a place where their abuses are documented.

Sorry to post again so soon, but just reread the tweets in the OP again and god damn I hate journos.

What a blessed day we live in where journalists can’t resist shitting up the internet with their idiotic partisan personal opinions then turn around and pretend to present a balanced viewpoint.

It makes me feel warm and fuzzy knowing that my hate is 100% justified.

are you retarded? do you honestly think this person is capable of any critical thinking?
Have we tried reaching out to open minded journalists? Jon Ronson has written some surprisingly fair and balanced things on the KKK, you'd be very surprised. He also writes for the Guardians so has a largely left-wing audience.

Let me try it.

It may defy belief, but Kiwi Farms is still online. The website that is responsible for swatting, multiple instances of murder and the elaborately organised harassment of members of the transgender community. Cloudflare sounded the alarm one year ago, as transgender content creator Keffals fled Canada in order to evade what was described as an imminent threat to human life. The threat still persists. The trans community remains voiceless and feels the threat presented by Kiwi Farms every day, the heart of stochastic terrorism continues to beat.

As a platform for universally reviled perspectives, with absolutely no redeeming characteristics, it takes many by surprise that Kiwi Farms was able to continue its existence after Clouldflare made the brave decision to drop service. Whilst lives may have been saved by this move, Kiwi Farms soon resurfaced, receiving support from Russia at one point and bouncing from provider to provider in attempt to continue the stalking and harassment of transgender people and neurodivergents. The threat for many is real. Christine Weston Chandler, a transgender comic book artist has long been the subject of the websites scrutiny. She once declared wanting everything about her house 'off the Internet' on video, to this day Kiwi Farms subjects Christine to repeated instances of misgendering and denies her status as an interdimensional Goddess.

The threat remains imminent. Until laws are amended to be appropriate for 2023 and to properly address the potentially deadly speech of extremists, it is likely Kiwi Farms will resurface time and time again.

(if anybody from Wapo likes this, I'll take whatever you're gonna pay me)

I always hate the fake curiosity/earnestness they write in with, knowing full well they’re looking for blood. Genuine snakes.
I get the feeling that beneath the standard email politeness there's a cynical "I already hate you and I am gonna write a bunch of shit; fuck you" happening.

I was thinking you guys were dicks for shitting on her even before seeing the article but the tweets show what type of person she is.

Ask her why she did not censor k*w* f*r*s like in her tweet

Journos: “our jobs are essential to protect, so that the public may be properly informed of newsworthy events and persons. We gather public information and compile it in such a was as to generate discussions and guide people’s opinions so they may align with the nature of the facts at our disposal. We will often dig to source difficult to find information on the topics we cover because in many cases people in power will make efforts to erase such history. Suppressing journalism is tantamount to tyranny, discourse must remain free.”

Weird, that sounds oddly similar to what happens on the KiwiFarms. I’m sure the irony won’t be lost on journalists though…
They are simply attempting to get rid of the competition. Remember, we are all citizen journalists in the eyes of the law:

Federal Court Rules All Citizens Have Journalistic Protections

In a recent federal court ruling, it was re-confirmed that First Amendment protections are not exclusive to officially recognized journalists but extend to anyone engaged in journalistic activities. This represents a notable victory for citizen journalists and advocates of free expression and institutional accountability. (...)
This case not only highlights the potential dangers of defining journalists as a special class but also the impossibility of the government being the final authority on what constitutes a journalist.

Asking for comment the day before the article is published means that the article is done, nothing you say will change their opinion, and they just needed to check the box. Really they are hoping they can just put in "Joshua Moon was asked for comment but did not reply by publication."
