I think more men need to go into teaching because there's a massively different dynamic between kids and women and kids and men that I think is good for them, especially single-mom kids who aren't exposed to it.

The teacher doesn't even have to take the kids under his wing - modeling normal adult male behavior is really powerful in itself.

There will be fewer male teachers in the future because females don’t want to be with a guy who makes as much or less than them. Being a man means he will likely get denied promotions (unless he’s not white) so there’s no real growth opportunities either. So any well qualified man will avoid teaching. He has to be really passionate about teaching. This doesn’t count the teachers who get into it for nefarious reasons.

Women did so poorly that Grylls was naturally accused of muh soggy knees so much that he was pressured into having subsequent seasons focus on other divides like age.

You don’t hear much about this show because it was all queued up to demonstrate how men can’t handle working as a team and how the future is female but oops, it wound up portraying the total opposite. This was back in 2015, there’s no way this show could be made today and it barely survived even then.
