I've had the same discussion dozens of times, with people ranging from 80 year men to college aged women, about how I'm going to teach my daughter how to change oil when she's old enough, and nearly every time I get some bizarre responses. The women usually say it's unnecessary since she can get her oil changed at a jiffylube (lmao) and the dudes say she should have a man do it. I thought people wanted to be independent in this age. Like shit, I do it and all the other maintenance for my wife because I know she appreciates it, but I know she could do it if she had to.
Gen Z is gonna be so fucked when all the boomers die. I can't believe I'm even saying that.
