The timing can be explained by the fact that this trip happened right after Anime Matsuri, rather than him specifically choosing that week because of the event that was going on.
Ricardo and Romaine are two employees at the resort who delivered excellent customer service (stop laughing!) and they decided to keep in touch, but nothing untoward happened between them.
Honestly... with the info we have now... I buy that. I think. Maybe I shouldn't, and I'm sure some of you are rolling your eyes right now, but I'm a nice guy.
There's one wrinkle. The timing of the trip in August 2022 could be explained by Anime Matsuri, as I noted in my post.
But the Ricardo and Romaine thing came long after. Rekieta's Instagram following list was scraped and posted here at the start of April 2023. They weren't on the list.
That would seem to make the most likely period of time for them to follow R&R to be the June 2023 vacation.
When Nick got back from his vacation in June, Nick was being extremely cagey about it: saying he used a fake name, and I believe I recall
@Himedall All-seeing Waifu posted that he said on a Locals stream that he couldn't stream because a green screen didn't arrive in time... and what do you know? Ricardo and Romaine were now his mutuals.
IMO, would Occam's Razor suggests that the Rekietas did go to Hedonism II in August of last year, but the timing was PROBABLY coincidental... But then they saw whatever was going on there in those two weeks, potentially including noticing that there was the "Queen of Spades" event that was going on in the first week, and then decided to go BACK this year, and it was that point that they interacted on Instagram with Ricardo and Romaine. If that's the case, the question becomes: what did they see and/or do in August that made them want to go back?
Suppose, by way of argument, that they DIDN'T go to Hedonism II in June of this year, but they did go in August 2022. In that case, Nick was searching R&R up on Instagram 8 months
or more after they went there in August. The optics of that would be even worse!
(Rekieta's argument to the turkey, BTW, was something about how he meets people all over the world, which I guess was meant to imply he could have met R&R anywhere, and may or may not have ever gone to Hedonism in the first place. I'm not going to bother saying anything about that.)
The biggest (smallest?) brainlet move was to follow the 2 hedo employees.
The beach photo and hotel stream was a first time fuck up but to fuck it up again the 2nd time?!
Why did he think that was gonna go undetected? Or was his brain too coom addled to care?
He put plans in place to escape detection (as discussed above). He also threw people off the scent by saying he was going to a beach out west - the consensus on this thread was that he was headed to Hawaii, but Negril is on the western tip of Jamaica so in Nick's head it isn't a lie.
He didn't want to be caught. He put significant effort into not getting caught. That means he was either not intelligent enough to figure out that the IG was public like that or was so excited by the prospect of being mutuals with R&R that he deemed it worth the risk.
I'm just saying, if he gave an account of Hedonism II that wasn't "I didn't go" I think it would serve him better in the long run. "I didn't go" is patently bullshit. Whereas, based on available evidence, it seems he has wiggle room to give his side (true or not) as to what went on at Hedonism II, and I think some people might believe whatever story he tells. Right now, I'm not sure anybody believes he didn't go. Not even his remaining fans. Not even his Locals.
I agree, but I'm guessing he's under orders from his wife who did not want it to be known and definitely does not want it to be confirmed that they've gone to Hedonism. Back in June 2022, Nick accidentally, drunkenly stated on stream that the August trip was to Jamaica, before saying he wasn't supposed to divulge that.
Who would be imposing that restriction other than her?
It has been established that Drexel organized more than swinger events with his "smash bros" group. He has planned swinger vacations for various women, and bragged about it on Nick's show. There is verbal confirmation from Drexel himself that he is aware of Hedonism II prior to Nick's vacation as well as what happens there (likely not just during "cuck week"). Nick and Drexel both knew. Drexel didn't stop Nick from vacationing there either, and it is difficult to believe that Drexel wasn't aware of it.
This in addition to the recent compilation of facts courtesy of Balldo's Gate make everything seems like it was no accident why they were there, let alone what they were there for. It's not a stretch to implicate Drexel in this either, even if all he did was point them in that direction.
Anyone still giving Nick the benefit of the doubt about his vacation have a lot of doubting to do.
There's also the fact that Drexel brought up Gay 90s and how someone had died in a BDSM dungeon or whatever in one of his cope statements in Discord. Seems like he is very familiar with the place to the point of knowing the urban legends.
I was wondering how someone from the middle of nowhere in MN decided to travel to a club with a name that sounds a hell of a lot like any other gay bar, but if it came from Drexel's recommendation that would solve that problem.
