And in that time they had to move from Xbox one, to Xbox series dev kits to making it work on both Xbox series S and X and PC. Not to mention the Series Devkit tools/sdk (whatever it's called) was 18 months behind schedule, hence the extensive delays for most Xbox games.
Besides, working on a game for 10 years doesn't mean making the game for 10 years. It means kicking ideas around the office, scribbling notes on fag packets and having an idea for a story while pissed at the pub.

Ignoring all the garbage and actually talking about my feelings on the game. I’m only about 20 hours in and I’m actually enjoying myself. I do agree with most of the criticism from this thread and other places and fuck you Todd, you had no reason not to give us a rover or anything fucking faster to use if you wanted us to wander around shit.
On the topic of the weird pronoun shit, I really don’t care I mean people are crying about this game more than even woker games like Bear Sex Gate 3 and Hogwarts Legacy’s. Both huge games with a lot worse woke shit in them. At least I can talk with a male crew member in this game without him trying to fuck me three lines in haha.
Idk honestly it’s like with Bear Sex 3, these aren’t “the best of the best” they are enjoyable pretty basic games filled with modern day nonsense. So yea that’s my two cents on the topic and the game really. I’d say if your even slightly hesitant don’t bother, I’d say it’s better than Fallout 4, 76, and Redfall but that’s not really a huge win. Though if it has you interested in anyway then $15 for game pass is pretty worth it since you can play other games if you hate Starfield lol.
Edit: Though I saw the pics with RayGun and Whang, fuck those faggots and if you hate them and that’s why you don’t want to touch the game, that’s agreeable too! Seriously fuck Chris Raygun

I have no reason nor desire to upgrade my PC for Midfield. Nothing I've seen has impressed me, it just seems like a buggy mess even worse than Skyrim at launch.
I doubt Starfield is going to stick around in the public consciousness for much longer than a few months.

I think one of the reasons the NPCs all look like mannequins is that I don't think there is any subsurface scattering, still.
DLSS 3 is not real frames and should not be considered actual performance, to get the real framerate from DLSS 3 you have to divide it by 2 since generated frames are always double the real framerate, it usually has a frame impact as well of around 10fps depending on the game.

To me, FSR has always been a blurry mess. I don't know about DLSS because the last time I had a Nvidia card it was a 1660 super.

This is actually not very good, Baldur's gate which was not a flagship title of a major AAA company and a whole console got essentially a 900.000 peak on Steam alone. Bethesda is counting Steam, Xbox and Microsoft store together, and don't forget this is with game pass which means a lot of people didn't pay a cent.

I didn't get starfield but want to see how it's doing in comparison with BG3, how's the fixes coming along or the future plan of them? BG3 has dropped 2 major patches and 6 hotfixes, the 6th one dropping as of writing this post.
