First time posting so forgive me if I'm being rude but band and underbust are the same measurement. So a 42" band is a 42" chest.Men have bigger rib cages than women. A 42" band would suggest like a 38" chest if he did that old "add 4 inches to your underbust" approach, and 38" is a small in menswear sizing. Even if he used an up to date approach, a 42" chest is still only a men's large. A women's small is like a 32" bust, which is a men's XXS (and Rioley is definitely not an XXS).
Literally no idea how he arrived at the D cup idea though.
