I'm obviously not an expert, but doesn't the fact she has to go in every two days for wound care mean the boil is pretty serious? I've known a couple of people who had to have their cysts lanced and they were sent home with antibiotics and told to follow up in a week or so unless the cysts started refilling.

Boils are infections.
Cysts are not, but the cyst area can become infected, as can any open wound, so following excision, antibiotics are often, if not usually, prescribed. MRSA, eColi, etc are very real, and can kill.

So the Thailand Tiger Kingdom park seems cute at the most base level, but its obviously abusive if one can think about the logistics of running a park where tigers interact on the daily with tourists or do minor research. They are probably drugged, tigers are wild animals and cannot be trained to be docile around any random tourist at a high enough rate that there would not be very frequent maulings. Even so, there have been some maulings at similar parks.
Zoos where animals are kept well, given a mix of entertainment and privacy, and that contribute to conservation do not bother me at all. But these parks seem to just treat the tigers as a photo prop. The appeal does not even seem to be true interaction with the tiger from the marketing, and even if you wanted too its not like much interaction is going to go on, the tigers seem so tired.
I really hope I am wrong and that its completely ethical and the tigers have good lives, but typically places that have these high levels of wild animal-human interaction are not great for the animals, and these seem even worse than places like circuses.

Actually, I would travel sooner than later. First, she is not going to walk around anymore to visit sites and attractions anymore. She does not want to aggravate the wound more than necessary. Second, if it get infected, which is always a possibility with Chantal, it could take a few days, so she may as well be in Kuwait for it. Third, she hates the place, the heat, the humidity and the staring. Why stay longer?

Animals typically are happier and healthier in a more natural and enriching environment. Hunting for food is entertaining for most animals, and without that natural entertainment animals need a lot of artificial play and enrichment in order to not get bored. While certain animals enjoy being pet, that isn't the type of enrichment that will keep a wild animal from getting bored. Many need food based puzzles, play hunting, and rough-housing with their own kind in order to stay entertained. Places like these seem to just throw them in a cage, keep them alive and well groomed, and call it a day. Again, I may be wrong, I hope there is more attention going into keeping them happy, but I doubt it. Also drugging a creature that is probably sentient for non-medical reasons is very messed up. It is obviously not as directly cruel as torturing a monkey, but it is still greatly abusive.
