It was many things, but the main complaints about how male gamers treat female gamers really were born out of women not understanding how men behave amongst each other or caring. My point isn't about Gamergate at all per se. It's about how woman supposedly want to be treated "just like a human being" but then they go into male-dominated spaces for "equality" and whine, bitch, and moan about how oppressed they are when they're treated like "one of the guys."
Any dude in a relationship knows that you CANNOT talk to a woman the way you talk to men. You can't joke the same, you can't use the same kind of humor, we men tend to say very harsh and horrible things for laugh and the ladies can't handle that. Women don't try to get into each others' heads the way men do in competition. Since woman is, in her mind, the Perennial Victim (tm) any words thrown her way at oppressive sexism and she doesn't stop for a moment to think, "maybe this is how guys are treated?"
Women literally believe that men live lives like women do except it's just much easier and privileged. They don't stop and use that imagination of theirs to figure out how things can be different, and perhaps sometimes worse, for men. A woman's world is the entire universe, and there is no multiverse theory in her brain.
Do you really believe male gamers don't want women to play video games and go out of their way to harass them? That's fucking stupid. Probably every fucking nerd here tried to get their female friends to play video games with them during childhood only to be rebuffed if not laughed at. Only once video gaming no longer became a symbol of a lower social status did women jump into the Zelda love. Of course when the only female gamer speaks up in a multiplayer game dudes are gonna give them shit, because they stand out. I've played games with dudes with weird voices and that's always the first thing people say to them. You have to give shit back to get respect, and women, not being men, don't get that's how dudes work and instead just hold their head in their hands at cry at not everyone loving them. Which is another thing about women, they need that adoration, that's why you have woman constantly posting their pics online for approval even when they're smoking hot already. That's why they hated video games until it was no longer popular to do so; and instead they could make it about them and why they are "excluded" from gaming when they insulted the entire thing when they were much younger.
Women are neurotic as fuck, by and large. Gaming, comic books, whatever, I don't care about that nerd shit, but it's always the same shit. Now in the age of equality women can buy and play what they want, but it's not enough. Every day they make it a big political issue about them, look at us protest, we need more attention, someone said something mean about a woman and we can't handle that! Yet they'll say horrible things about men and their bodies amongst themselves. Society really needs to take women off a pedestal and stop listening to them at every avenue until they can take some ribbing.

After the last time I tried to include a GF, and then just a platonic friend, into my gaming hobby, yes. I do believe most men don't truelly want women to get into their hobby, particularly gaming. We do it because it's a chance to sperg about something we're passionate about and/or because we wanna fuck them.
We were playing MK9. I all but begged her(GF) to let me teach her how to actually play and she shut that shit down hard. What ended up happening was her button mashing nonstop and then getting pissed I wasn't letting her win. The typical male response of "if you wanted to win or stand a chance you'd actually try or would have let me teach you" was the beginning of an hours long verbal assault that only ended after 30+ minutes of nonstop sweet nothings in her ear.
Then I tried playing Diablo 3 with a female friend who also refused to let me teach her how to play. Which resulted in hours of her sperging in rage over the fact we couldn't clear a dungeon. My explanation that she didn't know how to play because she didn't even attempt to learn ended up in her refusing to ever play a game with me again. Obviously because I was the issue, and not her dumbass going in blind and gettin mad over it despite the fact I basically pleaded with her to let me teach.
Women, in relationships be it romantic or platonic, don't have any real interest in the hobby. They just want to he included and coddled. They want to be included like "one of the boys" without having to deal with the same shit us boys deal with. And when they are treated as one of the boys, at their insistence no less, it wrecks them beyond repair. Which then leads to their man/guy friends refusing to include them in the hobbies.
This is, despite how faggoty the fellas in question are, a perfect example of this issue.

Whenever a video surfaces of a man using force on a woman, you get the usual "YOU DON'T HIT WOMEN!" spiel from boomer men, but what's always been horrific to me about that is when they go into the way their own wives act. They talk about how their wife will corner them and fly into a rage and slap and scratch at them and they just take it because they're convinced they're supposed to. I feel like most of us have known a guy that ends up with a woman who initiates violence in the relationship at some point as well. I understand why it happens, but it's insane to me that anyone decides to put up with it.

It might just be my area but many black people I've met recently have been insanely nice people. In fact I seem to get along with black women a lot better than white femoids. Some of the ones I have met have some of that cringe culture to them but overall it really hasn't been that bad.

I don't think many of you know or believe just how real and pervasive "witchcraft feminism" is these days. Coming from women there's a new push to reject empirical inquiry in favor of "rationalism" or "intuition." It's becoming where "empiricism" is truly a blasphemy. The easiest example is the insistence that if a white cop arrests a black male, that's racism, complete racism, absolute racism, and is the only evidence you need of racism. You don't need to investigate further. And yes, this is very much coming from almost exclusively women.

No, that's all wrong. People wanted to know what the thing they couldn't read about was. It wasn't until Dong Long Gone started going after kiwifarms that a movement like that had wcwe been seen and that should tell you something. People were curious, what was this about? Who was this chick no one had ever heard of? Why was every forum on the internet deleting and banning threads and discussion about this in a way that we had never been seen before?
That made people curious.
If this unknown indie dev had let it go it would have been the usual gossip and drama for a week or two then forgotten. But no. Instead this unknown indie dev displayed a vulgar amount of power and it caught people off guard. Who was this lady that had all this power? How could she dictate how all these forums should be moderated, some forums didn't even deal with vidya and they got their threads and posters memory holed.
What a weird thing... It made people curious...
