Ah! The "Pick-Me Girl". These girls were everywhere back in the glory days of Twitch. Every guy wants a cool gamer girl girlfriend and these girls came in to fill that niche. These girls came in and told all those poor, lonely, horny, virgin gamers; "I'm just like you! I love violent video games and comics too!" Granted, a lot of these women only did this to get money from these men but a lot of them also did it to get a small army of simps and male attention. These women made it a business to be "not like the other girls".

yeah I really don't know wtf she expected. that incident where she deleted the "when her age start wit a 3" tweet after somebody reminded her of it when she turned 30 is just baffling. did she think she was gonna be dead before that line of reasoning would come back to bite her? life's mysteries...........

Honestly I think it's a cope the way many ideologies are copes, like, people are very frightened by the idea that there might not be a higher power who is interested in helping or loving them or that everything we do in this universe might result in absolutely nothing gained for us. I think people really really really want THE OBJECTIVELY CORRECT structure to live life by in their minds and so adhering very strictly to religious doctrines is highly compatible with adhering strictly to conventional gender roles. To be clear, I don't really have anything against women who are happy to be housewives raising children, but it's that need to look down on everybody else for not agreeing to do exactly the same which seems so neurotic and malignant to me in that coping way. Like they are genuinely afraid any deviation will result in degenerate wickedness and hellfire

I had this as a kid. Not that the other girls were just as submissive, but I got shit on for not going to church.

I was also just genuinely not like the other girls at my school. My anime girl friends weren't terminally online. No-one in my school was! I didn't have enough "other girls" around me to know this (as in watching lolcows) was normal!

Genuine question: why do some women think enabling this type of behavior is good? As a woman coming up on 40 in a little over a year, aging is literally nothing. 40 is not even old. Well, to be having kids, it's concerning, especially if you have some gross 40 year old or older dude and his spoiled milk sperm which will inevitably shit out one little Chris Chan after another. I think an important aspect to consider here is how the internet massively exploits and feeds any narcissistic tendencies people have. I really wonder what shoe0nhead would look like if she never had the opportunity to turn all of her worst urges into what is essentially a career in attention whoring. no doubt the pick-me-girl phenomenon existed beforehand but its modern incarnation has absolutely been warped by the corrupting influence of social media. also, since the internet acts as our primary lens towards the rest of society, its prevalence is probably overstated. remember that when you look at any internet figure who plays for mass attention, you're generally dealing with the most psychologically deformed bugbrains that exist in modern culture. I can't help but think about that when I see women online do the "I'm just different from everyone else" thing. it's not because you're cooler and more down-to-earth, retard, it's because you're insane and you're trying to make it an identity instead of recognizing the problem.
