Biden also just released a bunch of shit to Iran in return for some hostages.

They're covering that shit up hard.
I'm sure that, given how this is the anniversary of the worst terrorist attack in United States history that this deal was important enough to warrant Joe Biden's attention and I'm sure that it'll be handled with the utmost dignity and...
Washington — The Biden administration has cleared the way for the eventual release of five American citizens detained in Iran by issuing a blanket waiver for international banks to transfer $6 billion in frozen Iranian money from South Korea to Qatar without fear of U.S. sanctions. In addition, as part of the deal, the administration has agreed to release five Iranian citizens held in the United States.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken signed off on the sanctions waivers last week, a U.S. official told CBS News, a month after U.S. and Iranian officials said an agreement in principle was in place.
Congress was not informed of the waiver decision until Monday, according to a congressional notification obtained by The Associated Press. The U.S. official confirmed that the administration had informed Congress of the move, saying the waiver is one of the final steps before the deal can be completed.
The outlines of the swap had been previously announced and the waiver was expected. But the notification marks the first time the administration said it was releasing five Iranian prisoners as part of the deal. The prisoners have not been named.
The waiver is likely to draw criticism of President Biden from Republicans and others that the deal will boost the Iranian economy at a time when Iran poses a growing threat to U.S. troops and Mideast allies.

The waiver means that European, Middle Eastern and Asian banks will not run afoul of U.S. sanctions in converting the money frozen in South Korea and transferring it to Qatar's central bank, where it will be held for Iran to use for the purchase of humanitarian goods.
The transfer of the $6 billion was the critical element in the prisoner release deal, which saw four of the five American detainees transferred from Iranian jails into house arrest last month. The fifth detainee had already been under house arrest.
Due to numerous U.S. sanctions on foreign banks that engage in transactions aimed at benefitting Iran, several European countries had balked at participating in the transfer. Blinken's waiver is aimed at easing their concerns about any risk of U.S. sanctions.
The American prisoners include Siamak Namazi, who was detained in 2015 and was later sentenced to 10 years in prison on internationally criticized spying charges; Emad Sharghi, a venture capitalist sentenced to 10 years; and Morad Tahbaz, a British-American conservationist of Iranian descent who was arrested in 2018 and also received a 10-year sentence. The fourth and fifth prisoners were not identified.

Sharghi's family members told "Face the Nation" last month that they were holding their breath as the highly sensitive negotiations to bring the Americans home play out.
"My family and I are just on pins and needles," his sister Neda Sharghi said. "We're incredibly nervous about what happens next."
Blinken outlined the parameters of the deal in the notification to Congress, writing: "To facilitate their release, the United States has committed to release five Iranian nationals currently held in the United States and to permit the transfer of approximately $6 billion in restricted Iranian funds held in [South Korea] to restricted accounts in Qatar, where the funds will be available only for humanitarian trade."
The sanctions waiver applies to banks and other financial institutions in South Korea, Germany, Ireland, Qatar and Switzerland.
"I determine that it is in the national security interest of the United States to waive the imposition of sanctions ... with respect to foreign financial institutions under the primary jurisdiction of Germany, Ireland, Qatar, the Republic of Korea, and Switzerland that are notified directly in writing by the U.S. government, to the extent necessary for such institutions to engage in transactions occurring on or after August 9, 2023," Blinken wrote.
Sanctions waivers apply to transactions involving previously penalized entities such as the National Iranian Oil Company and Central Bank of Iran "to transfer funds from accounts in the Republic of Korea to accounts in Switzerland and Germany and from accounts in Switzerland and Germany to accounts in Qatar, and to use the transferred funds for further humanitarian transactions in accordance with written guidance from the U.S. Government," he wrote.
Nope. Six billion dollars and the lifting of sanctions in exchange for five people.

I'm calling it right now, they fucking bribed him. That's the only way Joe Biden has ever given a shit about anyone he couldn't molest. The people of East Palestine couldn't bribe him and neither could the people of Maui, which is why they're lucky if he can stay awake while listening to all the horrible things they had to go through. But you stuff a bill in his Depends and he'll bend over backwards to lick sand out of the Ayatollah's assaholah.

I didn't expect any better from him. But at this point, my opinion of him would be higher if he sat around shitting himself and doing nothing.

No see Desantis is going to win because he was at the football game the whole time, Trump was only there for 45 minutes and left, that shows he hates Iowans, Meatball loves them!

The new attacks on Musk are something I never expected and it seems like Musk is now being forced to go from his heckin' middle ground to aligning with Trump, since his candidate Meatball is DOA on the campaign trail. If Musk can just cancel out that faggot Alex Soros it's more than enough.
I think Musk is too autistic and stubborn to throw in behind Trump. I don't think he's actively one of our adversaries but I think the best we'll be able to count on him for is tepidly allowing us to shitpost on a meaningless social media site as the world burns. Shame because he could make a huge and lasting difference in American politics if he'd look past his baked in sense of lolbertarianism and accept that sometimes it really is a choice of lesser of two evils. He wanted us to go to Mars and Trump was all into putting America back into space, Biden will keep us grounded on this rock as he allows the chinks to leapfrog past us all.

I think the best we'll be able to count on him for is tepidly allowing us to shitpost on a meaningless social media site as the world burns.
And even that he can't get right. He keeps fucking with the site to where archiving things on it has become a hassle and a half.

Also "X" is a stupid shitty name... there, I said it.

If we have to note 9/11 at all other than "Where were you?" country songs, it was the beginning of the end of US Hegemony. That's when we get the Patriot Act, a casus belli to invade two countries, and an excuse to ignore the US's then-manageable domestic problems. It was when the Uniparty as we understand it today got real power and it doesn't matter which party was in power.

EMERGENCY! NOW GIVE UP YOUR RIGHTS AND MONEY

Cartoon published 09/11/2023

New Mexico’s governor decided to declare a ‘public health emergency’ due to some recent shooting deaths. While the deaths are tragic, suspending the 2nd Constitution would be more tragic. All it would do would grow more government control over us. There is no such thing as a Constitution-obviating public health emergency.

Leveraging a nebulous “Emergency” as a pretext to unilaterally cancel an enumerated right in the Constitution is not acceptable and it should not be obeyed.

Similar to declaring emergencies is declaring ‘war.’ War on Inflation, war on drugs, war on poverty, and war for ‘democracy’ (as we see in Ukraine). Perpetual war—forget about winning or losing them—are necessary to keep the military industrial complex enriched, while keeping the ground soaked in blood. Ukraine is not a democracy, it’s a dictatorship and a more corrupt than usual one at that, but politicians need war. By throwing endless billions in tax dollars at the war in Ukraine, those politicians rake in huge amounts in kick back money through their relatives and operatives.

Another resent ‘emergency!’ was used as pretense for Liberty Safe Company to open one of their products so that the FBI could gather information on someone involved in their J6 witch hunt. A company that tramples on our liberty should be condemned—especially if they have the gall to use the word ‘Liberty’ in their company name. There should be a boycott on sales. To fight back we must stop participating in, cooperating with, and helping those who stomp on our God-given and Constitutional freedoms.

Throughout history, those in power (who desire more power) usually declare ‘emergencies’ to get what they want. Hitlers Reichstag fire, for example. During WWII our government wanted taxpayers to cough up money on a quarterly basis. It was an emergency, after all…and our government could not wait for money for the war. Yet after the war, quarterly payments remained, thus underlying Milton Friedman’s quote,

“Nothing is so permanent as a temporary government program.”

The funny thing is…most taxpayers have to wait many months to get a ‘rebate’ from the IRS. That vile institution can wait as long as it likes and then when you finally do get your own money back, there is no interest added. You get nothing, but the IRS wants money owed to them NOW and if not, the interest clock starts ticking.

Today is the anniversary of 9-11. That event enabled Bush, Rumsfeld, and Cheney to invade Iraq and kill millions there. It’s always the same. Greedy, power-addicted people declare an “emergency!” to justify their seizure of more power at the expense of our rights. Decrees, mandates, orders, and edicts are methods tyrants use to strip us of those rights.Their meaningless bluster only has power over us if too many of us comply—and they comply out of fear.

When one hears the word ‘Federal Government,” for example, a reaction all too typical is instant compliance—as if the Fed is commensurate with God. An example is the movie ‘Die Hard.” When the FBI shows up and threatens people with the force of the ‘federal government,’ they all turn to jelly. The local police department becomes their slaves. People are threatened with job loss if they refuse to obey. The same thing happened with Covid. People were forced to take a dangerous vaccine in order to keep working. The law had no substance, but government force worked because nearly everyone complied.

“A law repugnant to the Constitution is void; and that courts, as well as other departments, are bound by that instrument.”

Insurrection by left wing activist during September 11th...should have saw that coming.
Now the US has had three attacks on 9/11. Never forget the attack on the embassy in Libya along with Obama/Hillary tried covering it up by blaming a obscure YouTube video (complete with jailing the director).

Elon is not your friend. He's aligned with the WEF on a lot of things. He just likes poking sacred bears from time to time. He's a globalist stooge that likes to troll.
I feel the need to inject some nuance. There is more faction at play than the Globalists and Populists. There is gradient between these two positions.

Elon, and a lot of the more quiet members of BigTech, fall within that nuance. Loosely aligned with the publicly stated goals of the WEF but opposed to their more quietly stated or obscured goals. And in fact you can often blame the WEF for why these people are opposed to their larger, more nefarious goals. As they tried to sell these people the line and the people balked hard.

From there, you have more factions spawn. Those that then completely cut ties and those that have maintained ties but are seeking to use the WEF and its connections for their own goals. Elon lives here, opposed to the nefarious example but liking what the WEF publicly and openly supports to the masses. And is seeking to use the connections the WEF provides him for his own purposes. But this does require him to play nice with them.

In short: Having connections to the WEF is not actually an immediate sign of evil. It is much more nuanced than that.

Edit- To add to my above post: The world makes more sense when you realize that billionaires and the powerful are just as if not more stupid than your average person. They fall foul to all the exact same foibles your average Joe does. This also means they don't tend to look any deeper than the average Joe.

So think about the WEFs public face. The face the average Joe sees. Connecting innovators and economies, helping to ensure all economies have a chance to thrive in an ever-connected world. In turn ensuring peace and prosperity to all nations.

Now, if that sounds like bullshit, congratulations you officially pay more attention than the average Joe. He only sees the public face... and those powerful people are just like him. No evil needed to align with them to some degree if all you see is that wonderful public picture.

They're going over to "Nikki" Haley because she is 100% on board for the forever wars, and they think she can sell it. They're wrong about the latter.
Nikki Haley is a loser. She isn't going anywhere. It's just delusional never Trump fags that are backing her. Trump will get the nomination. He is way ahead in the polls. None of the other stand a chance. The primary is over and it's time to pivot to the general election.
How is it retarded to look at the fundamentals and understand how fucked the system is?
We're not talking zerohedge-ing here.

Covid hysteria got most major companies used to Work From Home (while crime rocketed and cities became shitholes), and corporate real estate is doing the "wile-e coyote air run" while we wait for the banks financing it to look down and realize.
This "looking down" moment is already mid-frame in San Francisco where the most expensive buildings in the city have gone into default.

A major structural shift has been suddenly put into place and it's going to get very ugly for a lot of big banks (btw: Schwab and Wells Fargo are leaving their HQ's in SF.. selling at a fraction of the value).
We're talking TRILLIONS in urban real estate value evaporating.

I'm trying to figure out when to step out of my stock positions and wait to avoid the worst of it while not being taxed to death.
The cities went to shit long before Covid.
I hope Meatball stays in as long as possible. The more he does, the more the Never Trumper support is prevented from coalescing around a candidate who might, however unlikely, have an actual shot at beating Trump.

Keep them divided. Bring on more Glowies and Establishment candidates, I say. It's never been a better time for a delicious Evan McMuffin.
That's never going to happen. None of them have a chance at beating Trump. The only one that did was Desantard till people could see he was nothing but an establishment Republican pretending to be MAGA. Once people got a good look at Desantard they hopped back on the Trump train.
Well this is interesting because all the DeSantis people I have been keeping tabs on have pivoted to the OTHER pajeet and are now joining the Tribunal praising Vivek. That is gonna be a funny friction to see.
I'm talking about the donors. The rich people. They are jumping ship from Desantis. Most of the people supporting the curry nigger will go out and vote for Trump. Just like 98% of the Desantard stragglers will vote for Trump on election day. It won't be that entertaining because Trump is about 35+ points ahead of them all. Even more when you get down to the losers like Haley Christie and Pence. The primaries are pretty much over at this point and they haven't even started. Trump will be the nominee. He has technical incumbency. Unless the Republicans pull some kind of really shady underhanded stuff which they aren't likely to do Trump will get the nomination. Getting the endorsement from Kristi Noem is pretty much a sign the GOP isn't going to do shit when you have people like that coming out backing Trump.
well you got to break an egg to make an omlette. And it is the first probe in decades so there would be a technological rewrite involved, and the next probe will do better. India copied the other countries probes a bit for the key details.
Russia's moon probe failing and India being successful still makes Russia look bad.

Something too overlooked about the latest DeSantis talk this weekend is that his campaign team is already walking back the winning Iowa talk. Now they're supposedly going to be happy with a "strong second place" finish. Nothing says preparing to lose like adjusting expectations :story:
He truly is the most Republican politician ever. Born losers.

>Mexico taking back Texas
:cans: :ghost: :cans:

I'm pretty sure Texans would rather die or be an Independent Country than be taken over by Mexico.
Would give Texas an opportunity to steal back their battle flag Mexico took that's under 24/7 lockup and armed guard on a military base. Mexico does not want that winding up back in Texan hands under any circumstances.

Coincidentally, its also the last war trophy they ever took from anything remotely American. Its the one thing they have that lets them claim they were an actual worthy foe to the USA instead of just an annoying speedbump on our way to manifest destiny.

All these emergencies and these dumbasses think the solution America wants is to magically bring their proverbial hands on top of the fire, not you know. Go isolationist again like last time.
Going isolationist would implode the economy. Too much US dollars are in foreign hands, and the states is a major net importer right now.

Elon belongs to the Optimists. They believe in a trans humanist future. Schwab is a Neo-feudalist. They believe in a post human future.

They're both satanists, looking to escape the human condition, but at least one of them doesn't hate you to the core.
I'd add one more faction, but not dispute your classification of either two named people, and that's the "Humanists". Largely non-religious but feel that going full transhumanist is squicky so they just wanna make the world a better place.

They are usually very NIMBY, easily tricked by whatever faction has the most power, almost never have a proper idea of what will actually help, and in general never will look deeper.

These people make up the majority of WEF funding through companies they own and their general membership. This should explain a lot if you think about it.

how are we a net importer? This site says imports are about 15% of GDP?

importsgdp.jpg

I ll say it again.

The 1990's was a magical era. China came online with a billion pairs of hands to do low value lowskill assembly, and the USSR fell and a whole empires worth of raw materials hit the market. This was by definition deflationary, and not the normal state of the world.

Everyone remembers the great off shoring to china, well that time is over.

china's population has aged out, they dont have those billion pairs of hand, the new generation doesnt want to be those pairs of hands etc etc.

The US and its trade allies aka the nafta countries are going to shift to more integrated supply chain, with more value add work being dont in north america.

The USA exports only about 10% of our GDP. AKA, we import 50% more than we export.

Yes, most of our GDP is domestic, but over half of our GDP is also things like finance, real estate, business, government expenditures, etc. Things that don't contribute to real wealth creation. That 5% imbalance actually represents a huge proportion of the nation's real wealth being sucked up and removed from the country.
