At best he was trying to do one of those "let your eyes go out of focus and see the hidden image" thing from the 19990s, but with the carpet. Disregarding the rules of photography, just with how the human brain and eyes work; there is no distinct subject in that photo. It's not even structured enough like you're trying to demonstrate the floor space.

I must disagree here to an extent. His photography is intentionally bad and by no accident. By leaving the camera on a wide angle/unzoomed shot he's making the focal point less obvious and he can more easily claim they are bad "environmental shots". They were probably taken without proper framing (ie poor arrangement of subjects) out of fear of being caught. A person who happens by him taking these photos can't accuse him of being a pervert without there being a bit of wiggle room if he is forced to show. Meanwhile cameras pack far many more pixels now that he can zoom in later and crop out the desired detail. So nothing is lost with this tactic.

The bathroom shot is actually evidence this is a tactic he uses intentionally. A good example of making himself appear prominent by putting him in the center of focus while also balancing his overall prominence with a wideshot of the environment. It would be harder to indicate here he is airing any kind of insecurity if the environment is also the main subject. Nobody can accuse him of attempting to nurse his narcissistic complex. Nope. Just sharing a specific moment in time of one of his many healthy and emotionally stable outings, I'm sure.

Either way, he thinks he is more intelligent than he actually is. His intentions are obvious when the context surrounding the staging of such things is put into context. No different than when he finishes trying to explain he can not *possibly* be a groomer based on the cropping/choice framing of certain details. He is sociopathic enough to believe that his ability to reframe any situation or scenario is enough to make it all go away.
