It's astounding that both Doug and Vic are still hanging around him with no qualms and no callouts. Doug's viewpoint is that almost everyone but him is going to hell and there is no distinction to be made between them. He also seems to have this big thing about "sinners" "bullying" other "sinners" and will always rush in to defend the worst people in the world out of some warped sense of christian duty.
It happened with Preston Poulter. When Poulter's career in cuck porn got revealed, Doug swooped in to be his buddy for a while. Its also happened other times as well.
Doug is a straight-laced guy in his personal life. But in my opinion, he is also a egotistical manipulative jackass who always sees himself as the smartest and most moral guy in the room even when he isn't.
Look at his content these days. He spends enormous amounts of his time just shitting out low quality mindless trump grift videos one after the other. Produced for no other seeming purpose than to feed a personal need for e-celebrity.
But the danger for Nick is putting Doug into mixed company with Nick's degenerate friends. Because Doug is also unpredictable and it could quickly go off the rails.
I have alot of respect for Doug's talent and he is a very smart guy. But I wouldn't trust Doug or count on Doug to be responsible in situations with other people.

From what I understand, there's a rudimentary underground network of conservative creative types around the LA/Hollywood scene (this is how Dax and Doug know each other). Doug TenNapel has a knack for networking and has since the 1990s when he first got Earthworm Jim turned into a huge franchise. But the system operates like regular Hollywood where one has to leverage every connection one has no matter how slimy.

Nick really should be introspecting over this. It wasn't even that long ago that his own influence meant he could help someone like Vic garner enough help and funding to fight a lawsuit. Now? He can't even rally enough of his fans to help fund a defense of his own consequences. Not even a suit where it's about "I'm being censored" but "I kept pozloading the neghole". You can't even argue "oh he's using GiveSendGo so it's not nearly as popular". I have never heard of Montagraph until recent and it's because of him I have more reason to NOT like Nick, because current Nick seems to like getting himself into stupid kinds of trouble.

The appeal was the most foolish, expensive and self-destructive option available to Nick. I tend to think that Nick did it for those reasons. The appeal is also very much in randazza's interests both financially and from a law nerd point of view. From the very start of the lolsuit, Nick has followed a legal strategy of spending the most money possible in the least productive ways.

The more money, time and effort Nick puts into the case, the more of a fool he makes of himself. Nick raising so little for his case was humiliating enough, but to be out-fundraised by a boomer conspiracy nut has to really hurt.
