- Hardly a prediction, but we'll definitely hear more about Mario RPG, WarioWare, Detective Pikachu 2, and Pokemon DLC
- More info about the Dark Moon remaster, with a late October release date
- Metroid Prime 2 Remaster coming later this year (or as a shadow drop for early 2024 Direct)
- No mention of the Peach game, Mario Kart DLC, or a new console; too early for all those

Looks like the direct is upon. So with that in mind, I think we will no doubt see more info for the new peach game, Mario RPG remake, Mario kart 8 booster course pass wave 6. I also expect no new console news as nintendo would not want to stifle holiday sales of the switch yet. And, yes pyoro is most likely right about the new Mario vs. Dk game coming out soon. Lastly, Don't forget to Expect some farming games and Jrpgs to fill the gaps in the direct.

I don't hold a lot of stock in rumours (Switch Pro! Any day now! Since 2018!) but I'll keep an open mind on this one because the other alternative is to just give up entirely.

Three things I want.
Retro Game Challenge 1 and 2 remaster (which has been announced for Japan)
There's a rumour of a Trace Memory/Another Code R remaster floating around, so that would be cool. But I could see that being EU only, at least for a physical release.
As always, I would love a Disaster Report remaster but that's never coming.

I've also been seeing alot of smash rumors too. But, they just might be related to potentially the upcoming sora amiibo. So, that may also show up in the direct. Because of this, smash fans are thinking that it means a fighters pass 3 is happening which is probably not the case. Anyways, it is definitely better to set expectations for this direct low in order to prevent getting upset when said expected thing isn't there.

A new console will never be rolled out in December because that would interfere with the Christmas sales season. The only exemption is if the previous system was a Saturn or Wii U level flop and the company just wanted to be done with it, damn the holidays and move on.

Yeah I doubt it would be anything related to smash ultimate at this point. It'll probably be easier to call sakurai back to make a new one for the next system which maybe what certain rumors might be pertaining to.

the same man who- not even a year after he finished developing 10 new fighters + stages + god knows how many spirits from near-scratch for ages after Smash Ultimate’s release- is now releasing YouTube videos near-daily extensively detailing almost every facet of how he does his work?
the dude who’s singlehandedly responsible for multiple flagship games from 2 of Nintendo’s flagship franchises (and one historical one that he decided to bring back from its 2-decade-old grave for funsies/a weird undisclosed vendetta against usable control schemes)?
I agree with you wholeheartedly I just find it funny that people are still doubting that Smash is over lol
Sakurai’s involvement is probably done, I think, but I can see why people might not think that considering who’s running the show
