Finally finished last week's WAN Show, nothing really of importance or incompetence.
-first forty minutes is talk about Starfield and mods, and pay for mods
-40:40 talk of apparent Switch 2, Linus continues to act like the Steam Deck is this most groundbreaking device and believes everyone has one
-56:56 new LTT merch, a "Luke Nukem" t-shirt with Duke Nukem drawing of Luke
-1:19:00 talk about Youtube's new ad mechanics for creators, at 1:23:40 Linus talks about Mr. Beast not smiling in thumbnails so he's tracking his eventual abdication of the soy face on his own videos
-2:00:20 there is an LTT store newsletter they talk about screwdriver handles and hot vs. cold press
-2:25:45 Framework found a bunch of main boards when moving their factory from Chyna to Taiwan, which they will sell for a discount, Linus has concerns that they were obviously 4th shifting the product he invested in because it's Chyna. Lol, lmao even.
-2:53:10 talk about the videos post-GN takedown, says there's still videos having issues. They have on average 5 people working on a video which seems ridiculous. Linus says he will do a "brutal" QC pass on videos from now on such as the AMD 7800 and 7700 card reviews, he says he's cutting away a lot of b-footage
-2:59:05 talk about what it would take to shave their beards, Linus says he was going to shave his beard a few weeks ago during the shut-down as a symbolic new leaf thing, realized it was blatantly pandering. Says if Yvonne wants it shaved he will tomorrow.
-3:38:00 a question about any videos they would do over, Linus says whole room watercooling.
What is interesting to look at is the views for recent videos are down considerably. It seemed no matter how shit they were before, they would get 1.1 million views in 2 days, now half since the return aren't doing that. The rather low views in comparison for the AMD cards really shows people don't trust them anymore with their findings.I find the Tranthony Newton video, which doesn't even have Shrek on the thumbnail, is still very low after a week, as though people can see the HRT through their screens.
