There are no electricity issues in Texas. There's just constant media slander to try to make California's failing grid look normal.
Texas has power problems due to an over investment in wind energy. It hasn’t had any major blackouts since the 2021 storm, but the wind not blowing has caused voluntary consumption reductions. Wind is a complete waste of money because you can buy an enormous amount of natural gas for the cost of the turbine and you need the gas plant as backup anyways. Texan electricity is significantly more expensive than it would be had the Bush Republicans not fallen for the green energy scam.
This is just another forced media narrative. Glowies are still extremely assmad that Texas is on a separate grid. I can’t imagine it would actually make a difference in a catastrophic scenario, but Beto’s Texas governor run was almost all about handing over as much control as possible to federal entities and connecting to the national grid.

Meanwhile 2 separate blue states have burned to the ground because of their power grid maintenance failures, so they have to bring up Texas having a problem with a once in a century freeze every time to compensate.
Those things are related. One of California’s largest sources of energy is imports. The “carbon free” states have to import large amounts of electricity from non-insane states in order to ensure reliability because they’re not allowed to build gas/coal/nuclear plants within their borders. The left complains about Texas’ independent grid because they want to steal its power, not because they care about its reliability.

.....so, Alito is not /ourguy/ after all. Seems Thomas is the only truly based SC justice. *sigh*
Staying injunctions on appeal is relatively normal and common, IIRC. But I wouldn't claim any particular knowledge on this. Interestingly Biden admins request was 300 pages

The Appeal court judgment was only 80 pages in comparison

The Republicans built those wind turbines.
The prevalence of renewables in Texas as well as the open border is a testament to how much the Chamber of Commerce wing of the GOP has the state by the balls. Renewable energy is a boon for equity firms who charge a shitload to build them and if the wind blows they get production tax credits and if not, prices shoot through the roof and they make money off their gas plants, hedges and capacity market trades. The retirement of coal and gas plants has made the (((usual suspects))) very rich. This would be a major scandal if Republicans had the balls to do it but they won’t. Greg can just add more unarmed guardsmen and drive some more illegals out of the state.

Probably gearing up to blame Trump for rushing the vaccine without testing it.
Which, again, would backfire spectacularly, because even though Trump did rush the vaccine, it wasn't him who forced it onto a not-insignificant chunk of the population, lest they lose their livelihoods. That was Biden and co. Right after they said they'd never take the shot specifically because Trump was the one who rushed it through.

Despite his vaccine support Trump never made a huge deal of forcing it on people, and he pretty quickly moved on to ignore boosters and such. "We already have the vaccine and the pandemic is over, we need to move on" and such. Trying to pivot to blame him isn't gonna be easy ot even effective, unless they want to spend years setting up the entire thing to shift the narrative.

You realize how much Windmills are used and where they are placed is a complex issue that requires the consent of about a dozen different parties right? Not everything has to be divided between two political lines. You have; the electrical companies, the landowners(Most of those windmills are on private property) and the electrical companies who all have a say in it. Each of those entities has their own agenda. Did you also know that electrical companies can span multiple states? For example Ameren covers Missouri as well as Illonis.

It's a problem that can't be pinned on one party anyways because America as a whole has outdated infrastructure. The power outages in Texas happened because of the winterstorms. Missouri was a purple state but had the exact same issues back in 2006. It's a problem that can happen to any state if they get hit with unexpected weather.

People really need to stop trying to politicize absolutely every single problem they come across because all that does is make you narrow minded and diffcult to work with.

my understanding of the main issues with the texas power outage are that they did not have the foresight to winterize the windmills and by the time they relized that the windmills would not be able to run in the cold it was allready too cold to get the gas plants online due to the gas beeing frozen.

it does not seem that complex, this is a similar amount of work as the easements on any power line, just a contract between the power company and the landowner.
most landowners around here love them as they just get paid for there fields while still being able to graze or farm them, and giving them a reliable cashflow regardless of season or weather.

but i aggree on the point that this is less of a political issue. and more of greedy businesses slurping up the grants and then just playing the blame game when shit flops.

Considering the clear cut case and the fact that it took 2 fucking years just to present the mountain of evidence for a preliminary injunction, I consider this to be a horrible sign.
It's likely that statist shitbag Roberts is leaning toward allowing this shit to continue through the election, and even to overturn hundreds of years of precedent.
See also: the Frame and Receiver rule injunctions being stayed by this court despite clear article 1 violations by the ATF. (and, of course, the absolute shitbaggery that is Roberts' ObamaCare ruling)

"but Roberts cant swing it on his own"
It's clear at this point that Kavanaugh is his hand puppet.
