I'll cosign the holdover number as being true. I do not see abnormally high numbers on my streams on Rumble, but I have noticed they continue to stay high through superchats. This is not going to reflect reality. My streams continually climb in viewership until superchats and then they halve, and during the outro song they dip to about 1/5th of peak as people tune out. On Rumble, my peak number is my superchat+outro segment number. I would not agree that the numbers are simply artificial though.

On Rumble literally any interaction with a video counts as a "view" even if only watched for a moment, and they do not distinguish unique views from views made by one person refreshing the video over and over and over. Most other platforms (YouTube, Odysee, ect) typically will only count someone toward the viewcount the first time they watch and only if they watch for a certain amount of time, but on Rumble they appear to increment any time the video is loaded/interacted with no matter what. At least that's what I've gathered from reading some of their press releases on the subject.

No wonder Rumble keeps being shit. Every time I open Rumble, shit fails to load and I have to keep refreshing until it loads and it probably counts me as half a dozen live viewers! Which probably explains the multiplicative addition when the switch happens.
