No ma'am, this seems to be a unique condition of very autistic women.

There have been a few on the site actually, Cynthia's not even the only one obsessed with an anthropomorphic cockroach man (although that one started out obsessed with a cartoon duck man, before she became enthralled by RegRoach from an obscure canadian children's cartoon). Here's one whose husbando is Seymour Skinner from The Simpsons.

This is what years of Kiwi Farms exposure does to a person, the surreal starts to seem normal. That's a sign of the brain damage setting in.
Cherie reminds me a lot of a YouTube channel I discovered a long time ago, with another autistic girl making cartoons and obsessing over a specific character. In her case, it was Nermal the cat from Garfield.

She lived in some trailer with her mom and would make sporadic videos in between Nermal masturbation to cry and scream at the camera. I think she had some psychosis along with autism, though, cause she genuinely believed Garfield was real and an evil killer plotting to get her.

Unfortunately she DFE'd one day and is inactive so there would be no point making a thread about her, but it echoes what you said about how autistic women seem to gravitate towards relationships with obscure fictional characters. Between her, Cherie, Alex Mulholland, and Amanda Turcol there's definitely a recurring pattern of behavior here. Chris did something similar with Sonichu of course, but I don't think there was a romantic element there, where he saw Sonichu almost like a husband. Women definitely tend to obsess over people (or characters, as the case may be) in a way different from men.

I wonder if the fact these characters tend to be obscure is actually a draw in some way. It makes the attraction more personal when you're the only person that cares about them, compared to if there were a community of fans who could be perceived as competing for affection.

I don't get why this woman hates the Wizard of Oz so much? I've never read the book so I only have knowledge on the movies lol
Usually, when people obsess over characters, they obsess over the source material as well

Because her precious bug husbando goes from being likeable to really annoying over time. His popularity back in his debut was comparable to Jar Jar Binks, where people either really liked him or found him extremely annoying thanks to the sheer amount of merch made for him. Over time most Oz fans found him either tolerable or really hated him and to Cynthia that is a crime worse than murdering puppies.

The Tin Woodman and the Scarecrow are hated by her because to her they're giant hypocrites who don't actually possess the qualities they're best known for. But she especially hates the Woodman because he's the one who let the Wogglebug join the group in the second book in the first place, and he too ends up really hating the cockroach in later entries for justifiable reasons.

Read on my friend read on!

Much like CWC himself I strongly feel there's a similar aspect to Cherie, some delusional part of her broken poo brain that confuses/conflates reality with fantasy, quite literally. I truly believe that she truly believes that the actual fictional characters exist, and that these characters from the merry old land of Oz themselves despise Wogbugger and not just Baum his creator, which he most certainly did as he grew to loath his own creation over time with a burning passion, and rightfully so.
Either simply due to her special brand of retardation or a desperate longing for her to one day be able to actually physically embrace her darling roach and for him to sneeze all over her piggy face and sob deeply into her constantly braless pendulous woggletits...
Perhaps a little from column A little from column B, but never underestimate a lolcow's propensity/ability for conjuring up tulpas,
right Magi-Chan...

In short, she's an idiot...

Curious, what page/part are you up to?
Can't wait to hear your thoughts when you finally arrive in the present and make the most recent post post wogglevoyage.
Try to remain sane...

okay so Cherie did her livestream thing, I only stuck around because @Bloitzhole had a question regarding Frogman plushies, and he wasn't able to join due to timezone. So I took the bullet and stayed there for a little while. My god, Cherie's voice is so grating. Nasally, and somehow more retarded than a low functioning autist/down syndrome child.

But! Fear not, there will be Frogman merchandise... next year. In the meanwhile...

Rip Mad-A-Hatter, he spittin' facts like the Woggletruther he was

Also why does she refer to the Wizard as the Wizard In Oz? Did she just copy/paste his name from the title Dorothy and the Wizard In Oz or some shit?
Maybe Oz has a sovereign citizen movement?

"The wizard is in Oz but he's not of Oz. He's from Nebraska; do your research!"

Wellllll you're not wrong. In the Wizard's case him being invited to become an actual citizen of Oz was a bit of a redemption arc so he is actually a sovereign citizen.

Just wait until you get to the Wogglebug podcasts she did. Her microphone is so goddamn bad that you literally have to turn the volume down to like 1 in order to hear her without having your eardrums ruined for life.

been a while since I read the books and this thread kindaaaa makes me wanna go back, but then I remember Wogglebug's first appearance vividly and how irritating he is. Though somehow Cherie's interpretation makes him more annoying, and as if he's as worthy of as much dickriding as the Wizard gets in the first book + the MGM film.

I listened to her episode going how FrogWog totally isn't canon and that they're not gay guyz but I had my PC volume low so I didn't have to suffer violent ear rape like most people who had to watch her videos.

Instead I'm questioning, what the fuck am I watching? I've only seen a few of them, and a single film - via the archive channel - and I swear to god it makes me feel like my braincells are being sucked out by a vampire shaped like Wogglebug.

girls are fightinnnnn.PNG

my god this is petty

I just have another question so I know what I'm working with here: what was Wogglebug like in the Oz books, if anyone read them? Is he this noble bug husbando like Cynthia protrays him?
No. He's tolerable at first, but then he does stuff like this in later books:

I'm going to provide some brain bleach from the Reddit Roach Porn story in the form of some fun Woggletrivia! We all like to joke about the Wogglebug being a little too close to his "friends", but did you know the Wogglebug canonically doesn't give a shit about consent and force teens to do drugs? It's true! In The Magical Land of Oz he invents some tablets and tries to make his students to eat them instead of food. It goes about as well as you'd expect.

damn, didn't know the woggler was baller like that

I should read the Oz books lol. Maybe it'll help me get over the fear of the movie too. I was terrified of anything Oz-related as a kid, and then learning about all the shit that happened on set terrified me more
EDIT: felt the need to clarify that The Little Prince is still the best children's book of all time

One of you linked her in a Chris Chan thread. Thank you for that, I otherwise would have likely never knew this thread existed. It's honestly refreshing seeing just old school autism instead of rapists and pedos and animal fuckers.
welcome to the WBL thread. If you like watching Kiwis argue with an autist buglover, this is the place for you. There's been no real horror besides the really bad cgi so far, but that's more funny than anything - if not grating. It serves to cleanse your palate after seeing the most depraved, vile degeneracy.

Also which Chris Chan thread? There's so many I lost track.
