The thread where you post your mildly unpopular opinions

This might be my most center left take ever, there is some truth to there being an anti-asian racism problem in america.
I've seen people act like ignorant assholes toward asians in real life in ways they never do towards a black person or a hispanic.
It's uncommon but it does happen. I'm not saying it's whitey's fault or they are the only one that does it, far from it but I've seen it happen like at this asian buffet place I went to a few weeks ago.
Sometimes asian people are straight-up assholes in American culture and I bet that has something to do with it. The Vietnamese ladies gossiping about you to your face at nail salons, Chinese people insulating themselves in their own little towns, Indian people being terrible drivers and running shitty businesses, like, anywhere you go with asian majorities there's issues where their cultures clash with the mainstream American culture. I'm not saying they should forgo everything they know to avoid being bullied, I'm not a worthless 4th grade teacher, but I think sometimes their staunch disconnect causes some of the friction that inspires the racism.

Ignore that a schizophrenic Marxist-Leninist wrote this. They're just the worst example of it.
People equate reading books to intelligence, but thats just not true. Most books that people read are dogshit that add nothing to their knowledge or even worse make them more of an idiot. Communists, ancient Greece statue pfp people boomer war-buffs, vegans and climate deniers read more books than most people. They are bigger idiots than most people. More importantly, there are other sources of knowledge. Book reading is not a good indicator of knowledge or intelligence.

What is the difference between wine vinegar and other sorts of vinegar?
Tastes more wine-y. I know that sounds goofy but it tastes like wine in the way that apple cider vinegar tastes like apple cider. Apparently you can literally make it just by leaving red wine out and open with something like cheesecloth to keep out bugs. Probably better just to buy it though instead of wasting wine.

I would prefer if nature documentaries didn't  always include the parts about hunting and copulating. I understand why it's there but I also don't always want to see it and would prefer to no have to be prepared to skip it at any time.
I hate seeing animals mate in nature documentaries. It ruins the whole fantasy of animals being cute and innocent when you see their gross "O" faces

For a genre like hip-hop celebrating 50 years of its existence, it’s brought nothing but an underwhelming, mediocre rise of rap music that will be forgotten in the next five to ten years top.

Maybe 20 years if it’s lucky to do that.
There is very little in the way of “classic” rap beyond the early 90s. We hear about how Yung Nigg the SoundCloud rapper breaks records in terms of listens and went quadruple platinum on Spotify with his generic mumble rap but two years later nobody will even recognize who he is. They’ll go back to SoundCloud as fast as they came up.

I don't even hear much about 2000s rap anymore, despite it being inescapable at the time. It's a whole genre of music that's as transient and disposable as superhero movies and mobile games.

You should have an actual soap dispenser, like a glass or ceramic one, and fill it up with soap, rather than purchase single use plastic soap bottles. Much cheaper and more aesthetic. The less branding you see on the daily the better.

I fill mine with slightly diluted Dawn free and clear with two drops of lemon oil and have gotten several compliments because people think expensive soap must come out of an "expensive" (1 dollar thrift store) ceramic dispenser.

Similar note, there is no magic to fancy smells. If you like a certain smell just buy the fragrance oil/extract/etc. Don't buy febreeze or any cleaning product just to put a scent on things. Dollar stores sell fragrance oil. It's also many times cheaper than scented candles, which I am growing to think are a total ripoff.

I think people (especially zoomers) have become shittier workers more than their bosses have become shittier bosses, and that lowering morals and ethics among zoomers is a greater cause of shitty workplaces than other factors like "the nature of capitalism."
You could inject lead paint straight into the carotids of every breathing zoomer and the ensuing retardation still would not outweigh the earth shattering brainrot of the average Fortune 500 tech company's middle management. I'll die on this hill.

Thread tax: I don't hear a difference between a millennial/zoomer saying "UGH, this heckin' degree is worthless and I can't get a job to pay my student loans, why is this happening to me???" and a boomer business owner or suit saying "UGH, these damn kids are too stupid and lazy to work and I can't run my business, why is this happening to me???" Nigga who held a gun to your head and forced you to do [thing]?
