Not Just Bikes / r/fuckcars / Urbanists / New Urbanism / Car-Free / Anti-Car - People and grifters who hate personal transport, freedom, cars, roads, suburbs, and are obsessed with city planning and urban design

Of course, they're blaming infrastructure as if a 3-inch high curb would have protected him from a "Driver".
“We could’ve saved him if only we were a better society…”

They also hate on the vicitm for being a retired cop:
“…but fuck cops all cops deserve to die we don’t need cops ACAB #BLM”

I don't think that guy was killed because he was a cyclist.
Its fucking nutso that redditors can see a clear cut case of teenage psychopaths acting out an unequivocally deranged fantasy and turn it into some racist philosophizing that black kids "just lack the cultural resources to understand that murder is wrong". They were almost legal adults trying to play GTA in real life, no amount of cultural resources was going to save those cunts from killing some one eventually.

Its also insane to equate general annoyance about cyclists to wanting to straight up murder them. Yes driving behind a slow biker sucks especially if you can't pass them, yes they can be entitled and unpredictable, yes they look really dumb in their spandex suits. None of those are anywhere near the levels of dehumanization needed to justify murder that redditards seem to think this story represents.

Sometimes tragedy is simply tragic and nothing more.

I'm genuinely curious what the typical Redditor thinks the solution to "Car Problem" is. I'm no fan of the auto industry and the continuously uglier and computerized cars and the role auto companies play in polluting or horrible legal precedents like shareholder nonsense in Dodge v Ford but cars are one of the few things that remain in separating niggers from their victims. Every time you see shit like this, the cars are always stolen. Blacks can not keep up with car payments or hold onto a car for an extended period of time without theft. Look at the recent Kia Boyz epidemic big cities are still dealing with. Most public transportation in America works fine and runs efficiently but people avoid them because of homeless, niggers and molesting pajeets. I grew up in a very socially liberal household and one of the things that radicalized me was taking the train/buss while attending Uni. The walkable, clean and safe utopia these guys want would happen overnight with racial segregation or removal. Imagine the diverted funds from welfare being applied to public utilities and amenities. We have sold the fucking stars to babysit blacks and these people will never realize it.

Edit: By pollution I mean real pollution not carbon emission nonsense. Most of the cancer cells in the United States are a result of automotive manufacturing and the dumping and improper disposal of various paints and chemicals.

"Ok but yall white racist ass motherfuckers are too blinded by your privilege to see what really happened here, so yall stay out of PoC business. These innocent, powerful, inspiring youths only acted this way because of the institutionalized racism that they go through on a daily basis, but yall aint ready for that discussion"

In reality though the raw evidence is infront of them, yet they'll twist and skew it to fit their narrative and throw it a couple of buzzwords, and anyone who says otherwise is a racist.

Two innocent black youths framed by The Man yet again. When will people get woke and see what's really going on?

Article from LA stating the kid hit 2 other cyclists as well.

Maybe they should deport all cars back from where they came from as they are too dangerous for American society
Kill cars. Behead cars. Roundhouse kick a side mirror into the concrete. Slam dunk a taillight into the trashcan. Crucify filthy motor vehicles. Defecate in transmission oil. Launch cars into the sun. Stir fry cars in a wok. Toss cars into active volcanoes. Urinate into a cars gas tank. Judo throw cars into a wood chipper. Twist cars hoods off. Report car companies to the IRS. Karate chop cars in half. Curb stomp vehicle windshields. Trap cars in quicksand. Crush cars in the trash compactor. Liquefy cars in a vat of acid. Eat cars. Dissect cars. Exterminate cars in the gas chamber. Stomp car roofs with steel toed boots. Cremate cars in the oven. Lobotomize cars. Mandatory tire deflations for cars. Grind car engines in the garbage disposal. Drown cars in fried chicken grease. Vaporize cars with a ray gun. Kick old cars into ditches. Feed cars to alligators. Slice cars with a katana.

/r/fuckcars hates it when developers build what they want because other people can still live in suburbs:

Pretty sure this is one of those Redditors who is literally too stupid to realize that Jason's gushing about Amsterdam isn't because the whole of Amsterdam is an "ideal" urban paradise and because Jason's rich and can live that way.

And what does he really want, anyway? Can't have a city slowly redevelop a bunch of low-density development because that's "patchwork urbanism", that's bad, can't have any developer-led urbanist developments (think these outdoor "shop/work/live/play" outdoor malls like The Domain in Austin), and attempts to relocate people into public housing projects (think Cabrini-Green Homes in Chicago) turn into slums.

They actually could live in a walkable area in practically any city in the US if they wanted to. Small towns are obviously walkable by definition, but every large city has many mixed use walkable areas where one could walk to most of one's daily needs. I shared a neighborhood in Houston a few pages ago that had cheap apartment buildings within walking distance of a bunch of businesses, including a Walmart and a Target that can handle practically every daily necessity. It looked like a bunch of apartment buildings around a strip mall instead of a quaint European old town, but function is more important than form, right?

But they don't want to live in their walkable utopia. The fact that the suburbs exist yet can't be traveled to without a car really bugs them. Contrary to their memes about driving 30+ minutes to the grocery store, the suburbs actually have a ton of businesses because businesses locate where the money is. Living in their walkable neighborhood with every necessity met is miserable because they have to drive out of it for/are cut off from a lot of their "wants". Their "solution" is to forcibly densify everything else and run transit everywhere so that they can do things that suburbanites do without having to overcome their autistic fear of driving.

It's always fun to see these types of people short circuit when something happens that can't fit into their neat black-and-white Markov Chain of a NPC programming.
It’s the best when their logic goes full circle back into unintentionally supporting the thing they’re trying to denounce, like being super racist or something

It's honestly pretty retarded, but their solution to the car problem is to just ban all cars and worry about the consequences later. Everything will be bicycles and trains only, so essentially you have to live in a ridiculously tightly packed urban area and can only travel to other ridiculously tightly packed urban areas by meme trains and the rest of the world will be an abandoned wasteland or something. As for how anyone will get any food, uhhhh I guess urban farms??? I don't think they've thought that far ahead.

Real solution to cars is to just to incentivize smaller cars and alternative transportation options like scooters and motorcycles. Like, Japan is thinking about derestricting 125cc or less motorbikes and allowing them to be driven on a normal driving license, which I think could work here for cheap, reliable, and dead simple urban transportation that doesn't require huge sacrifices in range and capacity.

Naturally tho, even as a huge motorbike fag, I'll admit that I still own a car and I won't get rid of it any time soon. I can pull off a lot on by back seat with a couple of Rok Straps (btw highly recommend those if you have a moto), but there are a lot of items you just need a car to do. Passengers being a major one, as carrying around enough gear for two riders is a lot and the passenger accommodations on most bikes are adequate at best to outright terrible at worst. Ultimately, there is no solution to the car because the car is perfect for most people.

As for the auto industry, honestly I think it will be self sorting. Right now they're paying for decades of terribad business strategies and in general a stupidly oversaturated market with next to no margins. Too many people are selling essentially the same thing and there just isn't enough market capacity for it all. The automakers have been able to push this off by using financing to push consumers upmarket where the margins are better (which is where the real issue with car pricing lies, carmakers refuse to sell low end products because they make no money). The issue is, the market can't really sustain these prices forever, and now they are taking on a lot of pretty sketchy debt in their financing wings.

Once it implodes, companies will look to cheapen their shit up again since noone can afford it otherwise since financing will be much more difficult for subprime borrowers.

This is all on top of the auto industries EV problem (automakers are trying to devote their entire production capacities chasing the EV dragon despite EV demand remaining relatively constant and not even coming close to scaling with their production capacity).

Tl;dr automakers are retarded and have coasted for a while on cheap hacks that have kept them in the green, but their retardation is gonna face a reckoning soon which will probably benefit consumers in the end.
