The dude was another AVGN clone during 2007 Youtube but he was one of the funnier reviewers and his big thing was covering Metal Gear. He had an on and off again relationship with his YT and it got copyright striked at least once or twice. Then he came back in 2017, was making reviews, he had a wife and a good job. Everything seemed to be going well for this dude until around 2019 or so he trooned out and became this thing:

There was some hinting of this back around 2017 when he had this faggy half shaved haircut and liked to show pics himself posing with a thong. We all thought the thong pics were just a joke... More than anything else I just feel bad for his wife. They seemed like normal and decent people. You can tell she's not happy with it because last I checked she had one and only one photo of him on her Insta and it was a pic of him not in drag. For all I know the wife is long gone and who could blame her? It's just a sad situation more than anything.

I've got two for ya....

There is a YouTuber who goes by DaThings1 who transitioned a few years ago. The guy is known for making YTP's, which are often clean and boring, and I remember seeing a couple of them when I was still watching those actively.

His name was Luke Thomas. He explained his transition in some tweet that I can't find due to him privatizing his account, but the story is no different than most: He wanted to try on women's clothing as a kid and got berated, didn't understand societal norms, snucked his sister's clothes to his room to try them on as a teen, joined some LGBTQ+ circle to validate what he's feeling, blah blah blah. And some time around October of 2019 is when he came out as trans.

He subsequently changed his social media profile picture to match his, err, "look." He also decided to ditch Luke Thomas as his name to Ellie (how original!) Spectacular.

He has also went on to private some of his older videos because "muh harmful jokes" or something like that. Rather unfortunate.

Dane Boe, who created Annoying Orange, has also trooned out. I have no idea why he did and he never explained his decision. I went to go check his Twitter to see if he was still active online and man is he an abomination.

Probably should've seen it coming because a couple years prior to this he would occasionally sperg about politics and become a boring lefty.

When I was 11 I had this friend in middle school, we weren't that close or anything but we'd have fun playing browser games on our Chromebooks. One day when we were video calling he started to confess to me "Hey Nguyen... I think I might be gay..." Didn't think much of it but by the seventh grade he started going by a female name and started doing shit like wearing makeup and whatever.
I wanted to leave this post off on a slightly optimistic note as I was 90 percent sure he detransitioned, but I checked his Instagram for the first time in a while and nope, he seems to have transitioned back, and now he uses both his male and female names, as well as some other name I've never seen him use before. Also the dude gained some weight and might be on HRT. Tragedy.

Had a friend a few years back who was a pretty cool girl. Great sense of humor, bit of a tomboy but still crushed on guys, was a lefty but not an insane one etc

seemingly out of nowhere (seriously it’s like my buddy was replaced with a pod person) she starts telling everyone she now identifies as a non binary bisexual transman, starts listing her preferred pronouns all over (even started wearing a fucking pin on her jacket with he/him on it) makes no effort at all to try and pass as male and sends a group message to all her friends telling us what her preferred names are (there was like 12 names there for Christ’s sake)

I’m understandably a bit taken aback after a few days of this. I call her and leave a message basically saying “Hey K (first letter of her actual name) it’s Autumnal Equinox. I’d like to talk and get a better idea of where you’re coming from in all this, please call me back when you have time.” Never hear back

the next day I see a few of our other mutual friends have texted me saying K has gone off the rails and to check her Facebook. I do and see she’s removed all of us and posted this long public screed saying that she can no longer associate with toxic people in her life that deadname her and act like the Gestapo. That she’s surrounding herself now with positive people that aren’t homophobic and transphobic trash (I’m gay and to that point had never had an issue with trans people) never heard from her again. I check her Twitter sometimes and she’s gone full blown SJW, the complete opposite of the girl I used to be friends with.

usually it’s the MtF troons that are the most nutty, but the FtM ones can be just as neurotic. I miss my friend and I still wonder what the fuck happened to make her take such a drastic change so suddenly. It really is like brainwashing

I followed Cosmo Wright pre troon out, then he started painting his nails which was so weird and shocked no one he trooned out not long after. The weird thing is pre-troon Cosmo was a pretty chill guy, personally wise the opposite of what he became.

Never liked his videos, always creeped me out but Contrapoints. The dude was making atheism videos years before the trans rebrand and was total shit. He also made a video about the Avengers movie bitching about how villains like classical music.

for obvious reasons i won't detail our relationship.

basically, he went from normal-ish but gross, overweight nerdy guy to screeching about transphobia overnight. he didn't even wait to decide he was fully trans before starting to cry about oppression and would change his gender from day to day without changing his clothes or anything so you'd have to guess his gender or risk his fury.

i remember one incident where a girl who had met him as a man, presenting fully as a man etc met him in the womens bathrooms, dressed roughly identically. he intimidated her quite severely and of course accused her, a woman who had recently been introduced to him as a man, of transphobia.

he was also a gay man, but is now claiming to be a lesbian.

i removed him from FB a long while back cos he spammed nothing but his oppression and video game stuff. defiinintely terminally online. two gems though were him changing his name to be the same as his sisters first name and her losing her shit so badly he changed it again, but kept her name as his middle name. the other was some male relation of his laying into him about how he had n business complaining about not getting enough gibs when all he did was sit in his parents house playing video games all day having never worked a job.

everything about him is so stereotypical that i felt compelled to include his details up top so you don't think ii'm making this up.

he clearly thinks himself some deep thinker and political pundit, cba to read his endless tweets or any of his ancient blogs but imagine they are Erin Reed tier.

eta: one thing i remember him thinking was particularly transphobic was having to live as your identified gender for 2 years before you could receive treatment. so obviously he started doing DIY HRT.

There was a horror reviewer youtuber I used to watch called Nyxfears, when I started watching him back in 2017, he started off as a very dorky but endearing semi-goth/emo looking dude, but around 2018 he started to grow his hair, do make up and nails and try dressing up more effeminate, I mainly shrugged this off because lots of people in the horror community described him as a "uwu soft sensitive boi", but in 2019 fully trooned out and now looks like... this.

And with that his video content also shifted because now he has to remind the viewer how hecking girlie and trans he is, also uses shitty female soyjaks in this thumbnail too because he's such a dainty uwu soft girl.

As for personal troon outs I've seen play out, I wrote my experiences in other threads
but I'm gonna make it short. I seen someone I deemed a friendly acquaintance troon out
which I believed started a domino effect in my former friend group where almost everybody, including my former friend of 7 years trooned out. It ended in me along with my boyfriend and him having a falling out after we refused to called him by his new name (which was from an anime) and expressing our concerns that he might've been manipulated/not in the right headspace, only for him to lash out writing a wall of text how he totally isn't groomed and this was his choice before unfriending us. Now he's stuffing himself to death (as a fetish) while arguing with his trans ""sisters"" on Twitter. Nigger had it coming.

I used to go out drinking every weekend, and I usually bumped into a woman I had mutual friends with - A really good drinking buddy. I left that place and got a new job for two years, went back for a night out and there she was, identifying as a man and looking miserable. She asked me what I thought and I drunkenly told her I thought she was making a mistake. I never heard from her - or most of our mutual friends actually - again. Last I heard, she moved to a different country.
