I get the feeling his EVE online video is going to flop just for being over 3+ hours alone. As a general rule of thumb, if your video essay/documentary can’t get to the point within less than 2 hours there’s a good chance there’s a lot of detouring going on.
I just wonder if theres even enough interest in a 6 hour long doc on such a niche game and if it's even possible to make it entertaining.

It’s one of those subjects that I think can be summed up in less than an hour and a half; but I suspect detours will be focused on either spending 10 minutes defining an obscure term or talking about random people loosely related to the topic.
I’ve seen true crime documentaries that covered multilayered cases in far less time than that, while still maintaining the most important facts of said cases.

I will say the gradual furry transition was actually jumpstarted by his ex, Error, who Fred dated long-term (and even lived with briefly, I believe) prior to Vex and is seemingly forgotten by him and his discord all together. Error had some sort of alien coyote furry OC and did some of Fred's original art. can't find any images to add since its been 5+ years so my apologies, all this to say he's been a furry pretty much this entire time. left the discord for a awhile, and when I came back there was zero trace of Error and Vex was publicly flirting with Fred in the discord so clearly something happened between him and his ex. Vex always had a weird obsessive crush on Fred that he did nothing to dissuade so its not surprising it didn't work out with his ex.

I can't say much on the anime video, don't remember it, but the furry shit struct me as being far too positive slanted, another case where someone tries to at minimum act like the fandom isn't majorly about sex, for one, and while I think he made it before the zoosadist leaks there's really no point I recall mentioning the even darker sides of the community that were blatantly obvious. Now I can see why he didn't do that, but brushing off the sex pest shit was lame - he clearly didn't want to step on the toes of his 'friends' as the 'furry adjacent' person he was.
All he had to do was say he wasn't up to making DTRH videos anymore because he associates it with hard times in his life, like depression and his friend passing, and he could have bowed out with more goodwill and pissed off less fans who might have given his other content a chance.

There's many reasons to post on the farms: you want to make raunchy jokes, you want to have longform discussions without being #canceled and give nuanced opinions, you want to talk about someone but all the public places kiss their ass (especially if you were a victim of said person in some way), you find psychology interesting, you like reality tv, you're watching some creator you like go down in flames... And A-logging, of course.
My guess is that maybe Fredrick is projecting his reasons for going here onto the rest of the forum. I don't know enough about him to say for certain, but considering some of his tendencies, I wouldn't be surprised.
It seems like he has 2% more knowledge of the internet and it's culture than any journoscum and that makes him some expert to said journoscum, while still maintaining the "I don't like the bad, icky phobe words!" demeanor that causes them to not publish more true information from the actual knowledgeable.

For a few of his Down the Rabbit Hole videos, I recall he had an intro with a series of audio that implies you're directly going into the rabbit's hole.
