I haven't actually noticed an uptick in any anti Biden stuff. My gym always has their TVs turned to CNN or MSNBC and they are furiously sucking Biden's liver spotted dick just like they always do.

Biden is probably getting Impeached. The Democrats have a problem opening Pandora's Box with out thought of consequence, and they broke the taboo of using the Impeachment process as a political theater tool. Unless procedural rules are changed to, even if just in show, restore that taboo, you can expect every President that has an opposition House to face Impeachment.

But actually getting voted out of office? No fucking way. It'd be such a massive PR loss to have your Party's top guy removed for corruption. That's going to poison way more than just Biden.

The Steal is already a massive chip on a lot off people's shoulders, and an issue a majority of people are suspicious of. Having the guy a lot of people think, at the very least seriously consider, was illegitimately elected gets kicked out of office is just going to pour fuel on this fire.

They ARE trying to bury it, it's so bad they can't really cover it up as much as they try to time big news stories with evidence reveals, they are massively underreporting it for how severe it is, and McCarthy is still having to get drug by the noose the Freedom Party won at the start of the year.

Ignoring all those issues to "own the libz" over the national debt is one of the main reasons the GOP keeps losing. It is such a niche issue among likely voters.

WASHINGTON — Ray Epps, a Jan. 6 participant whose removal from the FBI's Capitol Violence webpage sparked conspiracy theories that he was a federal informant, was charged in connection with the Capitol attack on Tuesday.

Epps is charged with one misdemeanor count, disorderly or disruptive conduct on restricted grounds. He was charged by information, which suggests that he plans to enter a plea deal.

The criminal information charges that Epps "did knowingly, and with intent to impede and disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business and official functions, engage in disorderly and disruptive conduct in and within such proximity to, a restricted building and grounds—that is, any posted, cordoned-off, and otherwise restricted area within the United States Capitol and its grounds, where the Vice President was and would be temporarily visiting—when and so that such conduct did in fact impede and disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business and official functions, and attempted and conspired to do so."

Most of the thousands who unlawfully gathered on the restricted grounds of the U.S. Capitol have not been charged unless they engaged in some sort of aggravating conduct, like attacking police or destroying property. Video shows that Epps attempted to deescalate tensions between the police and rioters, though he's also shown with his hands on a giant Trump sign the rioters jammed into the police line. A federal judge acquitted another Jan. 6 participant who had his hand on that same sign, saying that his intent was unclear.

Epps is not charged with entering the Capitol; he is only known to have been on the grounds on Jan. 6. NBC News reached out to lawyers representing Epps, who did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In an interview with the Jan. 6 committee last year, Epps said that he'd gone to Washington, D.C., in January 2021 as a supporter of former President Donald Trump, but that the conspiracy theories that followed had torn his life apart.

“I never intended to break the law," Epps, a former Marine, told the committee. "It’s not in my DNA. I’ve never — I’m sure you’ve looked up my record. I don’t break the law.”

Epps filed a defamation lawsuit against Fox News and former host Tucker Carlson for spreading the conspiracy theories suggesting that Epps was some sort of agent of the federal government.

Representatives for Fox News and for Carlson did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The unsupported notion that Epps was some sort of government agent who was inciting the mob to storm the Capitol has become widely accepted in right-wing circles, and even members of Congress have raised the Epps case during congressional hearings. Dominic Pezzola, a member of the Proud Boys who was sentenced to 10 years for his actions on Jan. 6, even invoked Epps’ name at trial.

What are the actual rules if a Presidential candidate dies or gets incapacitated or drops out after the ballot deadline in various states? Can a party still legally run someone else? Do they automatically lose? Dies it become a "vote for a dead guy" scenario?

Not sure about the rules as it relates to the former, but the latter? There have been cases where someone was on the ballot, died before the election, and still won.

Not talking about presidential candidates here, but rather those at the state level (I'd assume that individual states have different laws as to how to manage such a predicament). An example would be brothel owner Dennis Hof posthumously winning the seat he ran for in Nevada.

McCarthy wants to time the impeachment process for the general elections, the freedom caucus wants to use it immediately. Neither are particularly good outcomes because it will hit the senate and die like a wet fart, there will be no deliberation of the insane corruption in the impeachment filings by the senate and the media will bury the story.

McCarthy is right to drag it out. Having the Biden impeachment trial going on at the same time as the Trump trials will neutralize their effect in the court of public opinion. Especially since Trump "improperly" tweeting will be contrasted with Biden taking millions of dollars in bribes from Ukraine and China.
