One of my favorite Chantal memories was the night she announced she got referred for weight loss surgery.

She was so giddy and happy, talking to her chat for hours about how she was going to be a skinny legend in about a year. All while sitting in her kitchen wheelie chair making poutine and buffalo wings.

This was in March, 2021. About a month before Nader entered the picture....and WLS was never mentioned again.

She only got a referral. She’d already been a non-compliant patient of that bariatric clinic, and I’m not sure if she said that her referral was rejected after receiving a letter from the clinic, or if we just speculated it. One creator, Pix/Pixaley (was a reactor and in the Charlie Gold clan, these days a frequent super chatter during FFG streams) who was using that clinic had been waiting for 8 years for WLS. It’s not a quick process in publically funded health systems at the best of times, but this was also prime Covid restriction times.
