The throwaway line at the very end about how of course "we've given our nanny a very large raise" and the nonsense about installing additional cameras outside the children's rooms convinced me that it's a work of fiction. I don't know why those particular details struck me as so clearly false.
Knowing Reddit, it's probably an erotic fantasy written by a sweaty, hulking genderspecial who had to type the whole thing one-handed so as not to interrupt his frenetic wanking paroxysm.

Alright here goes the most autistic thing I have done in a while? in July 2019 I did a two-part timeline of My Queen, Amanda "Skinwalker" Winig. It was the longest most ambitious one I'd ever attempted at the time and I was extremely proud of it. But I cut out a ton of content because I didn't think anyone wanted to read even the two posts I made, and over time i've been less and less thrilled with it. Amateurish. Tons of speculation. Large bits of lore I totally missed. So three years later, I'm doing it over.
Amanda Louise Winig has been my favorite munchie of all time since the day she was first discovered by Lolcow Farms. I don’t know why she fascinated me so much. Maybe it was that she was so blatant about skinwalking and I hadn’t yet realized how integral that was to instaspoonie culture. Maybe it’s because she was only around for a few short months between when she was first posted to the thread and when she DFE’d and I was left scrambling to find traces of what she was. Or maybe it really is, as I joke often, a horribly misdirected crush I should be more ashamed of. To say Amanda inspired me is an understatement. Her social media disappearing is why I started archiving everyone. My kiwifarms account was named for her, she was my first avatar, and part of the reason I became way more active after years of lurking was because in the aftermath of Jaquie’s death I had an opportunity to bring her up here hoping someone else felt the same pang of nostalgia. She, way more than Jaquie, is why I fixated on the Florida munchies and Trevino. I wasn’t looking to document them so much as I was hoping that I’d find Amanda lurking in their accounts.
And so here is my ultimate tribute to her. Maybe I’ll finally get it out of my system. Not likely, but anything’s possible.

Once her father was discharged, they moved to Columbus, Nebraska, where she spent most of her life. her father became an instrument technician for a food processing megacorp. Her mother became an animal control officer and there’s a couple dozen articles that either quote her or were written by her because of this. Here’s an early one where she tries to find a home for some heckin’ adorable puppos at the shelter.

When I documented her still-somewhat-public facebook back in 2019 this was the oldest post I could dig up, about a mission trip to Minneapolis and how she is so much better and stronger than other people who went on the mission. You see, they just went for an adventure and to see their friends whereas she went for the selfless reason of wanting to help people. The sole commenter says it all

She tried to leave work but her boss said no and called her mom who made her stay. Mom was not comforting at all and told Amanda there was no need to be upset. Then at school she spends all day crying in the crisis room. From this we learn Amanda worked at a SuperSaver grocery store in high school.
Most of her early posts were just about religion.
She loved kids. She often posted about how much she enjoyed childcare hours at church and she volunteered with an afterschool tutoring group in high school. She worked in daycares right after high school and enjoyed it very much. Despite working with little walking smallpox blankets she makes 0 posts about her health, not so much as a cold.
She started attending Central Community College and was a student ambassador and leader of Youth for Christ while there.
Amanda got in a bit of a fender-bender in 2010.
This was days after her mom was promoted to lead animal control officer.
She really has a normal life. She has fun times with her family and loves being aunt LaLa. Redacting where children are involved. Josh is integral to the story as an adult, but the nieces do nothing wrong and are still children as of writing. It's not their fault they're related to a munchie.

She has a really close relationship with her younger brother Josh even though there's a ten year age gap between them.
In 2010 she graduated Central Community and started attending a different community college in Lincoln, NE. She studied communications and began working for a company called Finch on the Run Entertainment in Lincoln. They do wedding entertainment and videography packages. This hoodie she’s wearing is their merch.
She also started really, really abusing fat girl angles in her selfies.
But still, normal happy life. No signs anything is wrong from her posts
As part of her college program she took an internship with a local country music radio station called Froggy 98.1 FM. She was part of the morning show and had to wake up at 4;30 am.
But for the most part she enjoyed it. She just hated her school and couldn't wait to finish out her internship so she could move on.
She started a youtube channel. Her first video was from her internship. It's just some country musician.
Mostly she's just the happy proud auntie
In Summer 2012 her family took the trip that was to change Amanda’s entire life trajectory. The Winig family went to the Vacation Kingdom of the World.
They brought Amanda's niece along while her sister stayed behind so most of the posts are just sharing what the child did with her parents back home.
They stayed at the Wyndham Cypress Palms.
She makes a trailer for her family vacation. I hesitate to post because the child is in it and I do not have the skills to edit video. It's just family photos from the vacation set to music, but we learn that Brian Finch and his wife Lisa came along for the Disney portion of their trip. They're the two standing between Pluto and Amanda in this group pic.
They also went to Universal but she found it lacking compared to the spectacular customer service they had at Disney World.
Towards the end of the trip the winigs went to Stuart, Florida to hit the beach and visit her maternal grandparents.
And stuff herself with Japanese food.
Everything she posts is so wondrously bitchy.
And still her only health complaint is allergies, a few volleyball injuries, and needing a root canal. But she's moving!
And starting her new school!
Diet? Impeccable. Five Guys stop making your cups so biodegradable that they fall apart if she forgets her sweet tea in the cupholder overnight, gosh!!!
Still vague booking, now dreaming of escape.
At Wesleyan she started studying psych and social work. Lines up with her interest in child care. As far as I can tell this is the first time she lived away from home. Her college experience was pretty typical: drinks, procrastinating, and staying up for days to finish work she neglected. She's also back to Volleyball.
She's "changing the radio dial and not looking back" and posting a Tay Swift breakup song.
She claims she lives with friends in a French class presentation.
So much godsperging and posting about how strong she is.
And still her only health posts are normie allergies and dental cleanings.
This despite living off of junk food, wine, and sugary coffee drinks, pulling constant all nighters, and the stress of trying to balance school and work.
She gets even more touchy over election season.
But back to our regular content. School sucks but she loves her family.
She became an MLM hun selling personalized wall decals through a company called Uppercase Living. They went out of business in 2018.
Her only munchie habit right now is she loves the original The Fault in Our Stars. A Walk to Remember is another teen romance sick flick about a boy who falls in love with a girl who has untreatable cancer and then she dies.
And she posts about cancer kid Talia, but so did a lot of normal people.
Brian Finch of Finch on the Run is in her comments all the time. She designed his new logo.
She's having a good time!
Finally, finally in April 2013 she makes her first health post. She has a cold and does not like cherry flavored cough medications.
She goes to Kansas City with her family.
Finally the semester is over and she's relieved even though her boss is in the comments reminding her she still works in the summer.
She's posting a lot about a big trip.
And still no real health posting.
But plenty of disney posting.
You can see she’s gained quite a bit of weight just in the year since the Disney trip.
After this she starts talking about needing to lose it. Everyone, even the Dairy Queen herself, seems to be hellbent on keeping Amanda to her diet but the wine and cake prove too seductive a siren.
She turns 23.

As well as talking about going outside your comfort zone so you can grow.
Finally on September 25 we get the big reveal: she applied for and was accepted to the Disney College Program. This is an “internship” where college kids work grueling hours at menial jobs for little pay and some professional development courses thrown in. Most of what they earn gets funneled right back into Disney’s pockets because the vast majority live in Disney-owned apartment complexes and they have to pay weekly rent to live there. They have the choice to live off-campus but good luck finding an affordable place near the parks. Amanda will be living there for the spring semester 2014 and she cannot fucking WAIT.
The rest of 2013 is a flurry of activity as she prepares for the big day. She started a blog to document the DCP experience.
She's ready for this. She's focused on getting good grades and she actually committed herself to losing weight in the hopes of “earning” a whole new skinny wardrobe before she left.
She makes this vlog about her preparations. It's gone now, alas.
But this one isn't.
She quit her job at Finch on the Run.
So much disney. She even dressed as Minnie Mouse for Halloween. Everything was coming up Amanda!
Her only health post during this time? She ripped her fingernail off playing volleyball and was worried it might not regrow before the big day.
The one break from her complete excitement was when another friend died in a car crash, this time caused by a drunk driver. Amanda has matured and this time her post is all about how sweet the other girl was and how she’ll treasure the fond memories she has.
Other than that it was all excitement all day.

Part 2 of my overhauled timeline on the true love of my life, Amanda Winig. In part 1 we learn Amanda is extremely religious and family-oriented, often bitchy and self-absorbed, and loves to eat. Her health is enviable and her only complaints are about her weight, seasonal allergies, and the odd cavity. We ended with Amanda getting accepted to the Disney College Program and starting the long drive from her home in Nebraska to the Sunshine State.
Isn't this fun? Two whole posts of "healthy midwestern woman likes food, hates being fat." Don't worry. Grandpa's death was truly the end of an era and our hungry little caterpillar will now emerge from her cocoon as the beautiful, life ruining, cluster B goblin we know as "Skinwalker".
Amanda arrived in Florida on January 10th. They stayed over in the Nickelodeon Suites and enjoyed some time at Universal Studios.
Then she met some of her fellow DCP interns. She later will tell us she’s staying at Chatham Square, one of the Disney-owned housing complexes, where she lives in #21103. This is apparently one of the preferred complexes because all the cast bus routes go there and there’s lots of recreation facilities and events held for DCP kids right in the complex.
And finally her internship starts. She’s earning her ears with the mouse working in the EPCOT parking lot.
During the first weeks of this magical experience she rides roller coasters, goes out to dinner, and worked long shifts in the hot Florida sun as a parking attendant without reporting any issues.
She's loving the Florida weather
And the many events Disney throws for the DCP kids.
Of course, there’s always the vagueposting.
Because Disney barely pays its interns and most of what they earn goes back into housing, Amanda loses more weight on a diet of wine, poptarts, and peanut butter sandwiches
She has fun on Dapper Day.
She spends her days off hanging out at the parks with her roomies.
She really loves her life, though. Even when she's feeling down.
She records personalized princess messages for her niece’s birthday which is goddamned adorable. Trimmed this video to remove some pics of the child.
Towards the end of her time there the diet starts to slip again and we’re back to nights out drinking, cakes, and sugary coffee.
She's a big fan of Disney's dueling piano bar, Jellyrolls, where the drinks are large and strong.
Still her only health complaints are Disney-related: she gets sunburn because she forgets to reapply during a long shift and she has that inescapable Disney Park experience of some fatass running you over with a scooty.
She's also always falling down because she's clumsy
Even when she gets a weird rash on her leg that worries her, she just decides its her normal allergies in Florida Mode or contact dermatitis to her laundry products.

Also more pediatric cancer posting.
But for the most part it’s sunshine and happiness all the time. She loves working for Disney and can’t believe this is really her life.
She especially likes the Polynesian Village Resort.
Meanwhile Disney is running her into the fucking ground. She works 10-12 hour shifts, sometimes for weeks in a row with no days off.
“This beetle” lmao welcome to Florida, where it’s almost always a giant flying roach.
Every once in a while she’s homesick.
All the stress, sugar, and Jellyrolls trips means it looks like she gained back much of the weight she lost. She is a textbook yoyo dieter. It’s the end of the DCP and she’s saying goodbye to the roommates she’s become so close with.
She’s not ready to leave though. She applied for an extension and was accepted through the end of the summer. She really has that can-do magical Disney moments attitude and once again she's loving her life.
Her family comes down to visit. They hit the parks and Amanda pulls some strings to make it extra magical for her niece. I know I am being extremely over the top about removing the niece from all photos but I really think that children whose parents made them an internet presence before they could talk deserve the right to not have one as adults. I used to not care much when it came to kids associated with lolcows but the longer I've been doing this the more hardline I've gotten that these kids should be able to outrun the adults' bullshit.
She still has to work.
And she still thinks Universal pales in comparison to Disney.
She gets to go to Stuart to see her grandparents and hang out at the beach.
In May she announced she was not returning to Nebraska. She was ‘reverse transferring’ her school credits to graduate with an associates and not sure whether she wanted to try to go full time or extend her program again and take professional development classes, but she felt this was where she needed to be.
And still, she only complains of her ever-present struggles with her weight vs. tasty food and allergies that are no longer seasonal.

Oh, and she got popped for shoplifting hair products of negligible value from Walmart and was arrested. Grandma had to bail her out. She was banned from shopping there and sentenced to community service and impulse control classes. Thank you Florida Sunshine Law! I’m enough of a complete drama addict to remember that back in 2014-15 there was a whole community of women on tumblr showing off the shit they shoplifted, mostly beauty products. A bunch of Lolcow Farmers started discussing them and ended up doxing dozens of them in a few days. It was a thing of beauty and I can’t help but wonder if Amanda was reading those girls’ accounts and decided to go for it, or if she just was independently driven to shoplift for funzies.
(She tried to get this expunged from her record in 2022 using a service called Erase the Case but I could still access it as of today.)

And it’s once again obvious that Amanda has lost a ton of weight. And this concludes the “when is this bitch gonna start faking sick?” segment of today’s presentation.
Then she met some of her fellow DCP interns. She later will tell us she’s staying at Chatham Square, one of the Disney-owned housing complexes, where she lives in #21103. This is apparently one of the preferred complexes because all the cast bus routes go there and there’s lots of recreation facilities and events held for DCP kids right in the complex.
And finally her internship starts. She’s earning her ears with the mouse working in the EPCOT parking lot.
During the first weeks of this magical experience she rides roller coasters, goes out to dinner, and worked long shifts in the hot Florida sun as a parking attendant without reporting any issues.

Still her only health complaints are Disney-related: she gets sunburn because she forgets to reapply during a long shift and she has that inescapable Disney Park experience of some fatass running you over with a scooty.
She's also always falling down because she's clumsy
Even when she gets a weird rash on her leg that worries her, she just decides its her normal allergies in Florida Mode or contact dermatitis to her laundry products.

But for the most part it’s sunshine and happiness all the time. She loves working for Disney and can’t believe this is really her life.

Every once in a while she’s homesick.

She’s not ready to leave though. She applied for an extension and was accepted through the end of the summer. She really has that can-do magical Disney moments attitude and once again she's loving her life.
Her family comes down to visit. They hit the parks and Amanda pulls some strings to make it extra magical for her niece. I know I am being extremely over the top about removing the niece from all photos but I really think that children whose parents made them an internet presence before they could talk deserve the right to not have one as adults. I used to not care much when it came to kids associated with lolcows but the longer I've been doing this the more hardline I've gotten that these kids should be able to outrun the adults' bullshit.
She still has to work.
And she still thinks Universal pales in comparison to Disney.
She gets to go to Stuart to see her grandparents and hang out at the beach.

I've had this surgery multiple times in my childhood, and I can still burp and puke almost 40yrs later. I have always been able to. Currently my Nissen has loosened enough to be considered undone, but another surgery would probably cause me more problems than it could improve. I can't imagine not being able to vomit or burp; that would feel so awful. Does it all turn to farts? I have no idea why I have never actually pondered this. Anyway.. pouring one out for the Nissen'd homies who can't puke. Reflux or not that must fucking suck.

I could definitely see the ED -> liftblr -> munchie pipeline, especially because a lot of the entertainment value back then was (at least for me) speculating on if they were really stealing or if they were buying and playing at it for asspats.

Oh, absolutely. It's very common for patients with Cluster B disorders to struggle with self-regulation and impulse control. Stealing inexpensive items that one doesn't actually need and could afford to pay for is pretty textbook.
People with Cluster B disorders are often inflexible and respond very poorly to external stressors, frequently turning to maladaptive behaviors to cope. I would not be surprised if Amanda shoplifted during a particularly stressful period in her personal or professional life. The Disney College Program seems brutal and exploitative, and while there isn't much information about the specific circumstances of her life at the time of her arrest, I think it's safe to assume that there was some triggering incident.
People don't shoplift hair products from Walmart because they are mentally healthy and have excellent coping skills. I am also comfortable guessing that it was likely not the first time she'd shoplifted. I doubt she even has the self-awareness to realize why she did it in the first place. If she did, she certainly wouldn't inspire the ardour of @Kate Farms Shill.

What are munchies except aged up and still trying to be edgy, though? The only reason I think the overlap is tiny is that the liftblr set worked at concealing their identities.
Not to go too off topic but both groups obsessively research for shiny things they don't need, show off their toys, and get indignant if you say they're in the wrong. One or two of our girls has to have gotten bored with makeup hauls and moved on to wheelchairs.

Thinking back on it now that I'm not uncaffenated and on my way out the door most of the girlies I was familiar with back in the heyday of liftblr that didn't drop off the face of the earth went one of two ways. Some went the EDS, badly hidden ED, muh POTS and service hampster route but most of them went pooner (because such is tumblr). There's something about that intersection that speaks to cluster B shenanigans but also to a very particular need for a very particular type of attention, internet asspats, and shiny new stuff that is actually different from the other cluster B basketcases I know.
It's why our pooner munchie intrigues me so much. Go big or go home I guess.

I was wondering what our favourite munchie med student Alexandra was up to lately, and she's sporting new(ish) toys that she's showing off in the Caribbean before starting her final* year of med school.
(yes she has her portable oxygen balanced on an inflatable drink holder while swimming in the ocean)
*I believe this is her 3rd attempt at a final year of university? What's the odds that she does something to fuck it up before the year is out so she can claim it was something external to her as the cause of her failure and not her failing because her knowledge and skills are insufficient to practice safely as an FY1 doctor.

I have never done SUP but I imagine it requires better lung function than a person with 24/7 supplemental oxygen would have.

This book is on my holds list at the library - I think a character with EDS in fantasy sounds hella interesting if done right, but I also see Flirty the horsie wearing wings soon.

I've seen a lot of Booktubers review (scathingly) this one. Most agree it's completely terrible with a sooper speshul Mary Sue heroine and a cookie cutter male love interest who hates her because her mom killed his dad.

I will try not to PL too much, but I work with genetics and disease. If anyone has a close up pic of her eyes in this thread can you link to me?
Anyway: I had a look through the daily mail article and none of the photos are close up or good quality enough for me to be sure but I don’t see any actual coloboma at least in the left. Her right eye does seem to be slightly smaller and you do see micropthalmia present like that - one eye is ok looking and the other is smaller and appears a little recessed.
Anyway - if you get diagnosed with this, MACS is a spectrum of disorders, not one, and she’s in the Uk, you’d get a referral to somewhere like the Moorfields in London (who are lovely) or the Alexandria eye pavilion in Edinburgh (who are also lovely) or the groups at Oxford/Oxford brooks or Birmingham women and kids, and you’d get some testing done to nail down exactly what’s up because it can be a symptom of other things. You do this with a gene chip array.
There is an actual, specific MACs array. plus there’s an eye disease panel more than one as far as I know. What’s an array? Well it’s like a gene chip. You effectively have loads of probes for various eye disease genes and their various versions (mutations) stuck to a chip. each gene will have the most common known variants that cause disease on it. You take a sample of the patient, and process it one of various ways (often RNA to DNA or similar) and then you wash it over the chip. Long story short, you can test for hundreds of disease causing mutations very quickly and get a concrete diagnosis for your patient. MACs isn’t so uncommon, I think it’s one of the top causes of childhood blindness in the UK. It’s very variable - a coloboma alone can be a minor symptomless thing or completely remove vision in that eye. Cataracts are treatable simply. Micropthalmia is not fixable
Anyhoo. I am not an ophthalmologist, but I am someone who has worked in genetics/disease including eye indications.
I suspect she has a degree of (but not total) visual and hearing impairment, which is a tough row to hoe and I do have sympathy for that.
Also med school is brutal in the uk.
