I think the term "blackened Crust" emphazises more the "Crust" than the "blackened" and TCIA is still closer to (Black) Metal than it is to Crust. In it's core TCIA is the same as Hate Them or Sardonic Wrath before. They just broke some parts in their amps for a more dirty sound and amped it up to 11.

There's no doubt (pun intended) that mainstream music critics inflated grunge's legacy and have always given softball reviews to anything nihilistic and glorifying heroin. I don't want to do a straight edge sperg rant but i've seen cheesy or "feel good" used so often by rym users aping their favorite critics to condemn music as if joy is the enemy of art. There's a place in music for both concept albums about addiction and hard rock songs about driving fast

to contribute something of my own, Catch 22's work after Toh left is still solid, though increasingly inconsistent. Its worth a listen for fans of Keasby Nights and i loathe people who skip over albums just because (((approved voices))) don't recommend them on 3x3 or 5x5 genre charts

No other genres to me are more fun to blare in a car or sing along to. Nothing is wrong with semi-saccharine popular rock music unless you're a self-serious music-elitist faggot. And if a self-proclaimed self-serious music-elitist faggot is telling you that, there's a problem.

Take your punk, prog and endless offbrand metal genres and go fuck yourself.

Common’s Be album was the perfect example of
being ”proto-woke” without being too in your face with it. The last song in particular was pretty much proof of it:


The album has him talking about reparations, Afro-American ideals mixed with possible Che Guevara support and taking back land and acres that they supposedly thought was theirs during slavery times.

Not even his Like Water For Chocolate album was as blatant as this, and I say this as someone that used to listen this album a lot mainly for the Ye/Kanye West and J. Dilla production credits.

I really loved Dark Side Of The Moon the first time I heard it, but over time I've found myself skipping it whenever it's in rotation. I still like a couple of the songs but songs like The Great Gig In The Sky really kill the flow of anything before or after it and I've heard Money so often I'm sick of it.

Fleetwood Mac is a precursor to those indie folk groups who are best known for strumming a banjo and saying “Hey!” and getting a shit ton of airplay because radios don’t like to play anything else. I feel like if the group was at its peak in the 2010’s instead of the 1970’s, they’d be celebrated for being “real music” and not “autotuned dogshit”.

-Creates one of the best covers and visual concepts for a band
-Proceeds to create a mediocre, repetitive, reddit-style and simplistic music chain that does not do justice to the visual aesthetics and appeals for the tiktok hivemind.
-Occasionally uses "hail satan" messages to be "groundbreaking"
-I found out that the main vocalist doesn't even give credit to his musicians and takes credit for all of the songs even though he doesn't create everything and can't even play simple chords at interviews.
-Ghost fans be like: "I'm a metal fan. Metal is so cool" --> Me: *Shows them some good metal* --> Ghost fans: *twitter discovering behaviour*
