TL;DR: LIMITED TIME SALE OF MERCHANDISE THIS MONDAY.
Last month, PayPal dropped us from accepting donations. This comes after three years of taking donations. I think domestic terrorist Samuel Collingwood Smith sent the CEO of PayPal complaints about us until he got annoyed and took us off, because he wrote an article literally slobbering on the guy's dick before I even made it public PayPal had axed us.
This was expected, though. I'd had what I considered "War Plan Green" (alternative payment methods) in mind for about a year but I've never gotten around to fleshing them out because it's a complicated and time consuming backup plan.
Accepting money itself isn't an issue. I have ways of taking in donations. The best way to do that right now is to donate through Bitcoin. Bitcoin is trivial to get into and is less complicated than setting up a PayPal account. It also cannot ever be shut down. However, a lot of people are scared of Bitcoin, which makes running off of it exclusively infeasible.
What is an issue is rewarding people for their donations. I don't like charity. If you're going to support the forum, I expect people to get something out of it. People have been suggesting a store for fucking ages but I've been reluctant. In this time between my PayPal account being shut down and our replacement system that I am hand-writing, however, I think it will be helpful to keep the lights on.

I am certain that the second this store goes up, no matter what I'm selling, domestic terrorist Samuel Collingwood Smith will began to call the CEO of the company I'm using a pedophile. This means that our merchandise sales will be a limited time offer, strictly because people are going to try and fuck it up -- guaranteed -- so fucking buy in while you can.
