JFC they have to be making these numbers up to push Biden into bowing out

Trump over 50% and beating Biden by 10 is batshit

Even if they're putting the thumb on the scale hard for Trump, for whatever reason, this poll and all the other recent ones show that nobody is changing their mind to be against Trump over muh indictments. And people are looking back much more fondly on Trump's four years than they are at Biden's two and three quarter years so far. And they don't think the next one and one quarter year under Biden is going to get any better. Just OOF

I have a theory, they will run Biden in 2024 and if he wins he will resign a week into his second term citing health problems. There will be hand wringing and bemoaning op-eds about a bait-and-switch and how the vooters were tricked but ultimately there’s nothing that could be done and you’re stuck with whoever the party chooses as veep.

How the hell are people who don’t make a shit ton of money staying afloat? I seriously would like to look at the books of average people.
When you've been poor, this is just more shit, different day.

You're used to making your own food, not going anywhere you don't have to. You've had time to build up a library and as long as you have internet there's more entertainment than you could ever watch or listen to.

You pare it down to mortgage/rent, utilities, car insurance, and groceries.

The kids will just have to wear the same shoes. You don't get a new phone. You cut back your plan. You shop when there is sales.

And with the way gasoline has gone up, you seriously look at WalMart/Sam's Club/Costco/Amazon delivery to see if it is more thrifty to drive to the store and hope for the best, or pay shipping/the subscription.

If you drive a beater, you're lucky to get 15mpg, so you take that in. If gas is $7.50/g, then a 30 mile round trip is $15 AND you have to do it, so that's time. Is it quicker to just clickity click click and give Bezos $20 for a subscription and get all your deliveries free?

You stop buying the nice stuff and buy the lower end stuff. You shut off the lights, the thermostat, and just bundle up or open windows.

When you've been poor, you just buckle down and keep going and hope for the best.

Plus, you check to see how much you can make before you qualify for food stamps. Sometimes, you can qualify for Salvation Army, Goodwill, or other charities to pay your utilities if you let them get to shut-off notice.

If you're poor, you know how the system works. You know how to stay afloat.

And the old idea of "I have pride" has gone by the wayside with how it's been the last 20 years of watching everyone else live high on it, seeing tax money go to foreign grifters.

So you say fuck it.

You can't eat pride. It doesn't keep you warm.

If you were doing better before all this happens, well, you're a little resentful that you just started doing better and now the government fucked everything over, but you've been poor before.

You know how life works.

They're gonna keep using Biden until he's literally brain dead. Not this melted brain mess we have currently. People theorized Biden would step down after the midterms so Kamala could be president for 10 years.

Montana is a red state but Bozeman is a blue city. It's a college town and along with Missoula it has been a magnet for Californians. So in that sense it's interesting that a group of urbane college students in a blue city are so openly pro-Trump, but I can't help but feel like these interviews were staged.
Yeah, it really looked like those kids were "College Republicans heard Fox News was coming to town" and made an appearance. They way the girl was looking at the camera and the nature of her speaking made me think it was almost a prepared statement or rehearsed talking points.

Hell, even the fact that they got a well spoken cowboy whose father just happened to be Border Patrol as a "random bar patron" was a little sus.

I think the polls showing Trump so far ahead are an attempt to strike fear in the DNC donors and the Democrat voters in general.

Look! LOOOK! Orange Man Bad! BAAAAD! He is gonna win unless you please give more (no refunds!) and vote HARD! Tell Frens!! Much votes needed!!!

Sounds like Dem scaremongering to me.

Dems have got to be internally hitting the panic button. Their judas goat DeSantis is only running in theory. The media's wall of silence has failed on every major issue and the normies are becoming aware we're fucked. The poll numbers for Trump v Biden are collapsing out from under them as we speak. Also they say it's an outlier but I'm pretty sure Trump's hit 50% a few times this month, which he NEVER did in 2016 or 2020.

A year might as be infinite amounts of time in politics but yeah, expect more indictments next week. I'd be surprised if we're not approaching "fuckit lets send American troops into Ukraine" levels of desperation soon.

How many days do they have left to replace Biden on the ballots? Or at least get their parachute candidate on the ballots so they can do the swap later?
If memory serves, the cutoff to register your run is sometime in October.

polls are made up anyways. For all we know, a fair and honest poll would show him with a 50 point lead.

If anything, it shows that the Dems can't do ANY plans that require some foresight. It's all reacting with nuclear force all the time.

I don't believe that the +Trump polls are about supporting Trump and more about painting Biden as terrible. Why? I believe this is a psy-op to show how badly Trump will do vs Biden replacement (not harris).

Biden is really bad vs Trump, who is bad, but look at [insert new runner], they're +20 vs Trump. Trump bad, Biden worse, New person better.

California's ban on magazine capacity over 10 rounds was just struck down by the 9th and completely dismantled, partly due to Bruen, but also partly because it's always been self-contradictory bullshit.
I have said before and will say again. Judges are cowards, but that doesn't mean they lack a moral compass. Many do see what is right and want to do it but bend to their own cowardice to instead do what is safe. What Bruen did is provide clear cover to do what is right. This is why Roe being overturned has had no similar effects. That's still a massive garbage fire that has no safe options.

"It's the economy, stupid". The media can spin or ignore whatever they want but everyone feels the squeeze on their wallet and for good or ill the populace at large always blames whoever is in charge for it.

Alright, l as someone whose job was in large part polling and analyzing the results let me say this. Most of these are in fact honest. They are made with the best intentions and no duplicity.

What they are, in fact, is flawed. Often times pulling from the same pools of people, hitting more Democrats than Republicans. There is supposed to be weighting to correct for this but oftentimes judging how much is rather hard. Its not simply a matter of making everything 50/50 since the split of Republicans to Democrats is not an even split and that's only one factor. it gets more complicated when you consider other factors such as Likliness to Vote.

Don't forget that the sheer hostility directed at Trump voters means that they are somewhat likely to be more hesitant to answer polls or answer truthfully. If you're in a deep blue area you may even suspect random polls to mark you if you say you'll vote the wrong way, so you can be discriminated against later.

Don Naranja was the 47th president.
45th. He'd be the 47th if elected. Pardon my spergery.
Oh, OK, so just a fancy way pf saying to vote for Trump again, thought it was related to something else like a law or amendment or something.
The milquetoast response to Uvalde, which was a FAR more fucked up occurrence.
The president was Biden when that happened and the media started sweeping hard due to all the retardation surrounding it. Had Trump been president when it happened and a single ranger hadn't come in to show how it's fucking done you would have had it 24/7 for months and they would have had their activists marching everywhere. Never forget, an issue is only as useful as it can be used to hammer you enemies with it.
Fortunately he hasn't fooled too many conservatives, though there are a few smoothbrains who are giddy with excitement about how he's seen the light and been converted to the right side.
"Ooooh a based black maaan! I'M VOOOOTING!!"

I think the plan is they delusionally think they can keep Biden afloat til Nov 2024. They can't put someone else in legally if he steps down after October, but they can pick another VP who can step in after he wins and then steps down.

Problem is unless Kamala has some horrible personal tragedy in the next 30 days and can step down in a way that seems unforced, they can only definitively "fire" her by removing her from the ticket. Unless the VP can be switched out anytime after registering as a candidate in the states with October deadlines.

That would be bad, because as much as Kamala is unpopular, they have doubled down on her as being so important in the "Biden-Harris Administration" that taking her out would call into question everything they've done. And if they don't straight up get her to resign, there is the awkward lame duck phase of over a year where she's still VP until the new one is sworn in Jan 2025. New one would be campaigning with Biden all next year, while she sits it out. Oof.

At this point, unless they can do some chicanery months from now to retroactively get a replacement on the ballot, they are stuck with Biden/Harris all the way. All they can hope to do is take out Trump.

The Dobbs decision doesn't have any similar effects because it's not a restriction on what kinds of laws states can pass. It's an expansion. Bruen is the opposite.

I'm wondering if the transition from veep to potus (in a non emergency, we need that nuke order NOW situation) is automatic. If there's an opportunity for a no-confidense vote it goes down the line of succession right?

C'mon, Joe. You know you want to say it. So just say it. Saaaaaay iiiiiit. At least throw us a bone. Give us something to make the 4 years of your pathetic disaster of a tenure at least somewhat worthwhile.

What (realistically) would happen if Joe said nigger, in light of the polling in the last page or so? We know how the media would handle it, but I'm guessing the DNC would start taking some *serious* steps, given their reliance on the black vote...
