I think it was a word used to refer to servants like bellhops and waiters, which in the South were often black. Calling someone “boy” when they aren’t serving you is offensive because you’re implying that they’re lesser than you.

Hollywood movie makers couldn't have racist southern stereotypes call people of socioeconomic factors niggers so they had them call them "boy" instead. So in other words, it's a completely made up slur.

The way it was explained to me is that culture in the American South placed a lot of value on performative respect. You aren't "Josh" you're "Mr. Moon" if you're not on a "first name basis" to whomever is speaking with you.
Calling someone you should be at least performatively respectful to (tradesmen, shopkeepers, etc) by their first name is disrespectful. Not even bothering to call them by their name is even worse.
For those weeaboos out in the audience, it's supposedly not dissimilar to Japanese honorifics and respectful speech.

Remember, Jim Clyburn effectively saved Joe Biden's candidacy in 2020 in the make-or-break SC primary. Joe had done miserably prior, and he needed to win SC to prove his allure to the nogs, or else he'd have been finished. Clyburn was very clear that he wouldn't instruct his nog underlings to vote for Joe unless they got something in return (in this case, a pledge to seat the first black woman on SCOTUS). Joe promised that, Clyburn gave the go-ahead, and the rest is history.
Makes one wonder if a jettisoning of Kamala would make any nog politicians out there break ranks and encourage fellow nogs to stay home. Dumping her would just be so blatant, and I imagine some would be itching to send a cold, sober message to the DNC. Then again, we live in the time of VBNMW...

Im southern. In addition to the racial side of it, calling another grown man a "boy" regardless of race is extremely disrespectful, its akin to calling someone a baby/bitch. Blacks in the south love ganging up and insulting a white person by calling them "white boi".

Boy is common southern vernacular. It can be used as an insult but is mostly used by an older man to address a younger man. I got called boy by my family, neighbors, teachers, coaches, etc. We started pretending it was a racial slur because some politician that blacks didn't like said it. It's similar to when black people say white people can't say, "y'all," because it's cultural appropriation, when it's real origins are poor Irish and Scottish immigrants settling in Appalachia.

I'm getting more convinced they'll get Newsom as time goes on. He's in the news a lot lately, over minor shit. The only governors I ever hear about in the media now are Abbott, DeSantis, and him. I might just be imagining it though, since he scares me the most out of all them. The under 40 female vote will hand him it, no problem. He's their American Pol Pot Trudeau.

Guy looks like a gigantic faggot, but I think he has enough braincells to know that going in on 2024 is a horrible idea.
Doesn't mean he won't appear on the ballot, just that I expect a lot of shit will need to be given to him to butter up the deal to accept running and winning after fortication in the middle of the collapse.
