Apparently he can't do Youtube full-time anymore, which is strange because he previously said "in 2019, I considered myself semi-retired from Youtube and Twitch". That of course is a cope of his, but his newest cope contradicts that other cope / retcon.

So really the point of today's video is that he's continuing the status quo from previous years, which is what he's been doing the past few months anyway.

Unfortunately I've learned over time not to expect much from government, legal bodies etc to hold cows accountable after seeing examples like DSP's bankruptcy, Chris chan raping his mother and then being allowed to move back in, etc. If Boogie seeks out disability, I wouldn't even be surprised if he ends up getting it. The only upside is that he has already been held accountable by his rapidly shrinking viewerbase, and outside of 10,000 or so unique views, his base has disintegrated.

The new video is doing good in terms of views compared to his recent videos, but terrible for a big drama video even compared to his old Beggie video months ago. It's not even doing a fraction of the views of the follow up video where he basically gloated about how he managed to get a bunch of donations.


The video is a giant retread but I thought it had a couple interesting moments because it really gives you a window into the mind of how Boogie is rationalizing things.

Spoiler: deeper dive on his stupid video

-He blames Youtube again for demonetizing and "taking old Francis videos out of the algorithm". Which he has claimed many times now but it never gets old. Youtube has 20 years of videos on it now Boogie, your videos aren't going to be recirculated forever. There's no good reason why the algorithm should be suggesting 10 year old Francis videos that break their rules on swear word content to new viewers.

-He equates both his critics on Youtube and people who managed to evolve with the platform as "people who are willing to make these hour long essays." Which is just lol, the guy who puts forth zero effort just assumes everyone is making documentaries. It's funny because I think Boogie's style is made for Youtube shorts, but all he can be assed to do is snip old Francis videos into shorts format and then get demonetized because he didn't cut out the swear words.

-He compares himself to a Rick & Morty character, except I'm not sure if this is a comparison or him actually trying to argue that anything people thought was pathetic in the last few years was of him trying to emulate a Rick & Morty character. He's done these kind of arguments before where he tries to play things off as a "bit" so who the fuck knows.

-Halfway through the video he says "I've noticed something over the last six months. The healthier I've become mentally, the more sane, the less provocative, the harder I work on my content and try to make it interesting or something I'm passionate about, the happier I am in my personal life- the worse I am doing on Youtube." I laughed out loud at this comment, apparently the last 6 months has been him actually putting in effort into his content. He says it again further in the video: "After trying really hard this summer: I'm at a point now where I can admit that this will never be a full time job again". And then later yet in this same video, he says "This is what I was so afraid of when I made that desperate video a year ago when I was begging people to watch my videos and I told people about the big plans that I had, and I made a lot of those plans come true.""
So there you have it, he's already rewriting history that he just tried really hard but his viewers just weren't there for him. This is an important lie for him to perpetuate because his begging video a year ago was established on the idea that he needed support to get onto his feet and that he was going to gratefully reward his fans with tons of content and work harder than ever. That's a big revision of history which ignores the times where he was just like "fuck it, no new videos this week, the channel will work itself out, gonna spend time with the gf". Or telling his paid subscribers to take a hike and daring them to charge back their monthly subscriptions after he decided to release nothing for them exclusively. The guy has been lazier then ever but now just boldly lies to fans' faces that he has put out unprecedented effort in the last 6 months.

-He also repeats a claim he was making within a month of his original beg video that it was a video begging for views, and not money. Ignoring numerous statements in his original video about his needs for donations and the fact that his follow up was literally titled "Thank you. How much $$$ you gave me."

Also, caught this in his comments. "Hey Boogie, why don't you try streaming more?" "Ah geez, nah I can't do it my haters give me PTSD".


Anyway, leave it to Boogie to make even "It's Over" videos boring.

I honestly think that Boogie hasn't made a living wage from YouTube for years. They have been notoriously raising the requirements for monetization, and Boogie probably makes a couple hundred bucks tops from his current views and that's if he has a favorable rate. Worst case on some months he doesn't even meet the $100 minimum required to get a payout from the adsense program. I can only assume the only reason he still uploads regularly is to keep his adsense account open, which requires a minimum amount of watched hours per month to stay eligible. If he loses monetization, then he can't profit off his old viral videos and his usual bait.

I also think that he has been living off his early efame money for years as well. Even a decent windfall can last you a while with little effort and a financial planner to make sure your money doesn't stop growing. I think all the crypto shit is just a classic Boogie lie, because he doesn't want to admit he hasn't been successful in years and still relies on shit from the past to live.

Totally agree. Youtube has gotten more 'be in the top 2% or get nothing' since 2018 or so. Is it confirmed he never paid off his house? I know he complained about having to sell it, but he's been there awhile and probably made enough to pay it from early fame many times over. That's the 1 thing you do if you can, pay off your mortgage so if (when) you lose your income you can basically get by paying utilities and property taxes. With ride sharing and food delivery, you really don't even need a car if you don't have a job.

I have to give major props to Sunny, critikal and Tom for trashing him over the ebegging. He seemed genuinely shocked it got a negative reaction and ever since his views have been awful. Just as usual with him, nothing makes sense or adds up.

From what I understand signing Magic cards generally immediately diminishes their potential value not insignificantly, outside of specific cases where the person signing has contributed real cultural significance or popularity to the cards or game (he has neither). So who is really going to buy these? Basically people with two overlapping interests, Magic nerds who love Boogie29888 content. My guess is that the sellers (especially those with a following already) on this site charge a premium over market rate to account for the whole personal touch aspect of it, pretty wild to pay extra for something that damages its value to me.

That's a big problem with collectibles. During the early days of Ebay you could make a killing off action figures and cards. I had a friend whose dad died early and left him 100s and 100s of guns and he was able to make enough with private sales to get by for 3 or 4 years, but you run out of things eventually. Pop culture items, unless rare, can be a real pain to get rid of. A lot of people inherit old train sets, stamps, and so on and just dump that at local stores that resell them in bulk on Ebay, for pennies on the dollar.

MTG is probably easier than most things though, so he might do alright. Toy collecting is a total nightmare. There were a lot of people buying up then-new Star Wars and Simpsons toys 20 years ago as 'investments' and 99% of it is worthless now. Exclusive DVDs and Blurays are real hit and miss too, almost all worthless now but a few turned out great. At least it's not something like baseball cards.
