A.I. doesn't exist. We have no A.I. nor are we even close to actual A.I.

All we have are expensive and elaborate chat bots, opperating on markov chains and text prediction. They have no actual inteligence, creativity or logic. They are nothing but the ghosts of their data sets. There is no "entity" without the data. I really fucking hate the misuse of the term A.I. going on, these things are barely V.I.s

Now consider that, consider how these so called "A.I.s" are just repetition of their data sets tweaked by midwits and biased silicon valley retards into a facsimile of conversation. And imagine what they are gonna feed the CIA chat bot.

I hate it so much. On the topic of fraud, has anyone else noticed a decidedly different attitude about 2024 than 2016 or even 2020 in terms of excitement? Maybe I'm projecting, but back then there seemed to be a high point in terms of the general public caring about the election. Politics was something that got brought up by nearly everyone I knew and talked to. Now, even though Trump is still campaigning the same way he always has, Biden is more incoherent than he ever was, and inflation is fucking everyone in the ass harder than ever, no one seems interested to talk about politics like they did before. Again, maybe it's all in my head and I'm projecting my doomerism, but it feels like a pessimistic sentiment is spreading.

this is part of the reason why I started infrequently smoking cigars. Shit's fucked anyhow so might as well feel good even if it means risking some throat cancer down the line. Don't smoke all that often but more than I did 5 years ago.

That would be all three or four of them total. Obviously I'm being hyperbolic, much like the military, law enforcement, big business, small business, etc. there is a shortage of labor. A lot of the sheriffs I've heard from near boarder counties A) Couldn't arrest illegals which was a shock to learn for me, and B) Boarder Patrol doesn't have enough man power to implement any of the strategies to stop smuggling and illegal crossings. Checkpoints go unoccupied and state/county attempts to protect themselves from crossing are met with orders from the Federal Government to cease. Kamala Harris has done nothing, it would be very easy to implement incentive policies that boost numbers in military enlistment and law enforcement/boarder control. I'm not saying definitively that it would solve the issue but it is better than the actual nothing VP Harris has done so far. Too bad Ukraine and Russia exists.

It's the issue they have at the start of the episode before the Holodeck gives Moriarty sentience. Geordi asks the computer to make a new Sherlock Holmes case so he and Data can play it. All the computer does is mash up a bunch of plot point from different Sherlock cases, making it so Data can effortlessly solve the "new" case anyway once he spots the same elements because Data is a actual A.I. with something resembling a imagination, but the Enterprise computer is not and despite having a similar processing power to Data it isn't wired or programmed to actually think.

Same shit going on here. Similar thing with A.I. art, and music and so on. They are amazing at creating remixes and fitting blocks together, but there is no real soul or creativity there.

Two entire generations have completely given up on home ownership or moving up in economic class, to the point that they've decided that they'll just stop even trying to contribute to the economy at all. We have an entire generation of children who thanks to lockdowns and tiktok parenting and no opportunities to see adults socializing with each other lack even the most basic of life skills expected of 2nd graders. Teachers have decided they have parental rights over the children you're required by law to allow them access to -- and little Timmy's dick needs chopping off, immediately -- we can cut Jane's tits off later, it's not as important. Boomers are slowly coming to the realization that no amount of stealing their children's futures will give them more time. Cities are falling apart due to a Soros op coming to fruition and corrupt DAs literally telling feral blacks to go nuts, we will NEVER punish you no matter how bad you get. The response to this isn't "maybe we should lynch the DAs" or even "maybe we should arrest the blacks" it's "we'll just have the city government run the grocery stores, the ferals would NEVER rob from us." Not only are our borders open Biden literally welded the doors so they can't be closed. We literally might shut down our government but they've already announced the infinite money funnel to the Ukraine will not stop, because they're more important than you.

And this is all intentional, which we know because it's happening not just in America, but Canada, the UK, the EU, AU, NZ... Everywhere all at the exact same time. Except Israel and China, of course.

Dare call it conspiracy. The idea that the next wannabe Hitlers -- or in this case, Stalins -- wouldn't network in secret was a presumption we should have never had. It's going to come down to whomever makes a stronger case of "yes we're in a doom loop but I promise if you elect me I can fix this mess." Trump has a strong case out the gate. Whomever they have replace Biden will have an uphill battle.

We are past that. We are F.U.C.K.E.D. and the only way to fix it/escape it is to blow the entire face of western civilization WW1-style.

I agree to an extent, I do posit that the act of creating the AI generation is art in itself. Just as me sitting down with a bunch of magazines and doing collage. In addition, in the realm of that Trekian scenario Data's configuration is there to make the character more sympathetic and human; Orville's been exploring something similar with their bot character. Point is, there needs to be a human as an external force for AI. When and if we get to fully autonomous AI generations that does not require the intervention of human guidance will be the day I'll consider changing this opinion. Lil nit picky I know, but the paint brush is just a tool, it is what you do with the tool that makes art.
